Opposition players who used to put the fear of God in to you

Has anyone got any players from opposition teams who you knew were an absolute threat and like scoring against us? Just watching the Forest v Pool second leg play off and one man I used to fear was Robert Earnshaw who seemed to always bag against. Billy Sharp is another. Any other names?

When he was at Wigan, I always thought Bryan Griffiths was dangerous. It was only when he joined us that I realized how Ginge could make someone look good...

Big nosed Macken. Always seemed to be on fire when he played us. Depressing scenes at Bloomfield as the nobbers jumped around taunting us.

Surprisingly Griffiths scored 16 goals in his first season, became a victim of the boo boys in his second season

Mike Sherron. I remember him having amazing performances against us for a few years for Barnsley I think. One Tuesday night game at Bloomfield he torn us apart. Sat in the lounge that night with some Barnsley fans they couldn’t stop raving about him.

Signed him next season 2003 of memory serves me. I remember being distinctly unimpressed with him. Think he set up Coid though in the LDV final
