OT - Stanley Park running track

Went into the park the other day and noticed the red running track has been replaced by black tarmac. Is this an under layer or have they got rid of the actual running track? Doesn't look right.

I believe the track is being replaced with a new surface.

I think what you see may well be the finished article minus the painted lanes....it's right up to the edging and there doesn't look to be any space for another level of materials.

Tennis court renovation is next on the list.

The parks desperate look at the Italian gardens trellis Council can't look after anything. Very sad but I guess holiday makers come first. Ironically the park would provide a welcome attraction for holiday makers spending a fortune at the pleasure beach etc

Tennis courts are used for paddle tennis, the yoof team were there recently
