It is abundantly clear that we are benefiting now from the great strength in depth of our squad with 7 potential first teamers currently unavailable and playing twice a week every week it is pretty extraordinary that if anything we are now playing better than ever.

This is only possible because of the the foresight and generous investment of our fantastic owner as well as the shrewd choices that have been made by Neil Critchley and his staff that SS has put in place.

So it`s a big thank you to Simon Sadler especially and Neil Critchley and all his cohorts too from all of us for what is now being achieved through their efforts.Long may it continue.👍👍👍

The main thing for me, I've said it several times tonight, is the fact we haven't had a stable bloody back line for months and we've got the 2nd best defence in the league. We've been playing a full back at centre half alongside our 4th choice and we were getting clean sheets, tonight we played a DIFFERENT full back alongside our 4th choice against the best striker in the league and won 3 - 1, its genuinely astonishing.

And take the midfield now as well, with multiple key midfielders out we still found ourselves debating in the predicted XI thread who was going to replace Virtue alongside Dougall - now that is depth!

Simon Sadler has backed Neil Critchley with the signings he has made. Colin Calderood has evidently been a very important piece of the jigsaw. Kenny in midfield ratting about, he's made a massive difference since he came and Jerry Yates grafting up front to name but two.
There seems to be a harmony and enthusiasm at the club with the players and the way they conduct themselves on the pitch that has spilled over into our living rooms from watching on iFollow. Shame we aren't on the terraces watching these games cheering the lads on. UTMP

In many ways, this has everything in place to make it more exciting than the last time we went up (and up again) because under the vermin there was always, always the possibility it would fall apart, and how spectacularly it did.
This time we know every single decision made will be taken for the benefit of the club.
No more players being sold at the first whiff of a cash offer coming in, no more players contracts being purposely run down then making token offers to keep them, no more players being sold to Premier League teams and then the only thing we get to see of it is a new clock on the East Stand.
It isn't always going to be plain sailing, there will be problems, but for the first time in over 30 years of watching my team, we finally have every single person involved at the club pulling in the same direction, for the club, not personal interests.

And for that I will be forever eternally grateful to Simon Sadler.

I haven`t always agreed with you BF,if you don`t mind me calling you that 😉 but that is an excellent post summing up of the totally opposite way the club is run comparing now with the dark days of then.

After all the club and its fans suffered under the corrupt malign stewardship of the Oystons this is like heaven after years spent in hell. As I posted above it feels wonderful, long may it continue.

Couldn't sleep last night after all the excitement and was just thinking about everything, this was something that was running through my mind. Getting to the Championship under Sadler is going to be a completely different experience than under the Oyston's. I actually feel a lot of the success under the Oyston's, there was always an element of "luck" (for lack of a better word) - a manager always managed to make the best out of strange circumstances and the stars would align, the Championship promotion you can basically credit to Belokon as well for forking out for Adam.

This time there will actually be a measured attempt at success, things won't be done on the cheap and the influx of money you receive from playing in a higher division will be reinvested into the club - I actually felt like bloody pinching myself whilst thinking about it. Even if we fall short THIS year I'll still be happy, knowing the future is bright regardless.
