I'm sure I'll get pelters off many for this and yes, I know there is already a BSM thread, but just when did people start to expect getting freebies or £1 match tickets just because it's a cup game?
The reaction to the £15 ticket price for the quarter final BSM game vs Bolton has bemused me. People saying it should be free or £1 - why?? We are a commercial entity. If that's too much to pay for your personal finances then fair enough, but people can't be expecting handouts.
I would rather see seats occupied than lie empty, don't get me wrong, but the idea that the club will just give them to you is, in some cases deluded, and in others, shows a weird sense of entitlement.
£15 to watch your team (who have just put in a brilliant display against a prem side) play at home in the quarter final of a tournament we've got history with against one of our most bitter rivals. What's really to argue with there?
For reference, Accrington Stanley were charging £20 a ticket vs Bolton in the last round.
