Panic attacks and anxiety disorders

On Thursday morning I lost my best mate and work colleague of 30 years, as usual arrived at work at 7.15am..we received a call from my pals brother my mate had passed away during the night a massive heart attack he was 52, never smoked, drank he played 5 a sides 3 times a week and cycled miles, absolutely shocked and devastated..never a days unemployment he was..totally lost.
Everyone’s here for you pal. What a huge loss and you will of course need time to process the many emotions you must be feeling. All the best.

That is kind of you .. cheers👍
Your post earlier up this thread made me realise I’m pretty much doing the same thing to a degree... keeping my family spirits up , using all my energy to keep things normal..whist hiding my own inner fears of the reality... building a screen to hide behind .. so I must thank you for being so honest.👏
We all do what we must for the ones we love. That’s all we can do and I’m sure you’re steering the ship to a calm and safe place. Many thoughts and best wishes to you pal.

It was so unexpected Graves, I literally can’t even remember him been unwell with anything.. I really can’t.
There truly is a difference between those very elderly or ill passing, and the sudden, a bigger shock. Take the counselling if you can, talk or DM us if you wish, but remember you are not alone, many on here can share their experiences of how they coped if that can help you. Peace and love

I think posting on places like this really can help. You can unload to a bunch of strangers in the knowledge that they care .
I remember, years ago on the old Twoview message board, OldStokie posting on the day his wife passed away because he knew it would help him.
Take care all x

So sorry to read this Sam.
No words written or spoken can change what has happened but they can and do help you cope and eventually come to terms with it.
Take care fella .

Very kind of you.
Unfortunately things got a whole lot worse today after seeing the oncologist with palliative care being mentioned for first time, not yet, but options are narrowing.

Hard to know what words to say to this. I dont believe in ‘stay strong ‘always, as that’s not always the right way.
Stay optimistic maybe, but let out your anger and upset and we are rooting for you and your good lady wife. ☹️❤️

Thank you. From the outside I’m holding it all together, my wife is so deserving of all the support she is receiving from our unbelievable family and friends, when I’m on my own on the farm, my mind descends to dark places. We try to make the most of every day , no matter how difficult and continue to hope for many more.🧡
