Had mine done at the post office in May, and had it back three weeks later.

Yep. Took two weeks. Get a proper photo done in a booth that’s linked to the data base and much easier online. Don’t go through Post Office or mail as it will go in a super massive black hole.

Did mine and missus passport at Cleveleys Post office , they took the photo ,sent off our old passports and we got the new ones in two and a half weeks .
Renewed mine in May. I live in Portugal, all done by post. Can't remember exactly how long it took but no more than 6 weeks.

Mine was due to run out this summer, but I could see there might be problems, so renewed it last October. 5 days it took from applying online and it coming through my letterbox.

Exactly my experience. Looking back it was about same period. Just over a week. And they email or text progress.

Sent mine from Spain 2 weeks ago ,god knows how long it will take, three weeks to receive a letter here.

Depends how quickly you want it as to how much. The poulton post office handled my last one all went smoothly.
