Must have missed the thread on this??

Almost as if some people only post the negatives, because you could guarantee if they were being enforced we’d have had a thread on it. It’s a strange old world.

England soon to be the flag bearer for Europe with no restrictions.

Ditch the vaccine mandates and the mission is complete.

Probably a legislative technicality surrounding the use of Statutory Instruments, although the minister has the power to make and amend the regulations parliament retains the right to veto, and presumably they need to allow at least a minimal amount of time for them to do this.
 
That's me done with the mask wearing, having to wear one until next Weds but not Thursday it should have been like the schools dropped, followed the rules but they are going in the bin for the final time.
Don't ask me again to put these utterly useless things in front of my face.

If that means no holidays abroad for a while so be it.
 
Many more people wearing masks on the underground here in London since early January. Feels better for me, no problems with masks ,seems unnecessary to make that decision so soon. But Johnson is going full populist to do anything to save his job.

Bull they should never brought in these measures in the first place but the fat idiot wouldn't listen to SA scientists we know best attitude.
As for Scotland and Wales what a shambles costing millions to achieve a big fat fuck all.

I’m really interested to see how long you are immune to the current variant after having it?

Going to be interesting to see if I catch covid again next year as I first got it early 2020 so decent time lapsed before getting it again (start of 2022)

I was exactly 6 months between my two infections July 21-Jan 22
 
Told ya. Some MPs are now beginning to question all the decisions made during the pandemic. There are noises being made about having a full independent enquiry into decisions made and the people who made them.
No doubt head clown Boris will do all he can to stop it but we can only hope it happens. The joy of seeing the clown show gang being put behind bars will be so satisfying and justice for the 170.000 people who lost their lives because of the antics of the vermin government. Watch this space🤫😉
 
Admittedly, for those who like to have sight of these things, I don’t immediately have sight of formal back-up statistics, however I understand it’s generally currently accepted within the wider medical community that at some point in their lives most people will die.

This is a big problem. I’ve said it before, but for many, they’ve gone at the game. Masks will stay for life.

It’s mysteriously taken till 2020 for people to believe that a paper mask or one they’ve made themselves out of a Marvel t-shirt or a Minnie Mouse tea towel protects them against viruses?! Nobody has thought this before, there’s even been people saying it’s stopped them catching the flu 🤣🙈

The way that school children have had to wear masks and have been almost sacrificed to pacify unions and make grown adults feel safer without considering the long term effects of what it’s doing to children is also a joke. Tomorrow, they don’t have to wear them, shows up the nonsense but many still will.

At what point will it end for some?! I would suggest it won’t, it’s a sorry state of affairs, I think it’s known as ‘Covid anxiety syndrome’.

How do you feel as a teacher about the scrapping of masks? Does it bother you? Are you encouraged?

Once again the issue you have raised is the same issue as the NHS have suffered. Lack of resource where it’s really needed. There needs to be more capacity ‘slack’ in the system and less funds used in administration and consultancy

We need to stop bloody testing so many treat Covid as you would Flu and get young fit and healthy folk who ain't ill back to work that would be a start.
 
No one who chooses not to has been wearing a mask for months…likewise the mask wearers are sticking to it…

The tide is turning... it'll be interesting to see how many politicians/members of the public agreed with the approach (restrictions/masks/passports) in five years time. It'll probably be a similar to the number who agreed with the invasion of Iraq

How are people going to cope accepting they just have a cold 😂

Or not posting their kids Covid test results on social media (shout out to the psychos who label the test kits with their names too before they post them)

How will they cope not telling everyone what a hero they are for testing and isolating with no symptoms but telling us how careful they’ve been?

Lots of mind viruses to overcome 💯

They acted like South Africa meant nothing and wasn't even a remotely comparable country, just because they were younger generally.

Forgetting many aren't as healthy as here and hardly any had had a vaccine, so we were always likely to fare better.

So everything we knew wasn't bad, taking into account the vaccinated nation and previous infection too, it was never going to be all bad.

Now these guys aren't thick, they're very smart, but were they incompetent here? Purposefully misleading maybe to a government narrative or just working off bad assumptions that the virus was just as deadly like good old Ferguson said?

The amount they were wrong is shocking and their science was used to make lockdown and restriction policy.

The narrative changed pretty quickly from it being more lethal to being all about it infecting people who work in public service (mainly nhs) and due to isolation rules the knock on effect from a resource starved nhs.

Witty has always been captain gloom - faced with the best and worse scenario on a model he doesn’t take the middle ground.

I have stumbled across Dr Julia the mask seller flapping that her business is about to go up in smoke & virtue signalling about still wearing them and telling everyone about how her child was commenting on offshore banking at the breakfast table. It’s worth a read for the comments 🤣
