Paul Maynard MP in trouble

Allegedly spent tax payer money on Tory campaigns.
Another corrupt Tory, surely not?
I think you’ll find there are two paragraphs in a 500 page judgment on the health and safety aspects of back hoe loaders from 1972 that prove categorically that:

1. Tories can’t be corrupt. But if they are:
2. It’s the fault of some “junior” or civil servant. Or better still a junior civil servant.

His expenses seem rather high
He spent 125,000 on printing costs since 2010, wtaf is he doing?
The parliamentary average is 25000.

If he has done what is suggested he may be in breach of several rules at once. For instance the rules on campaign spending if he used the printed material in election campaigns.

I doubt it's enough for a recall petition but you never know. If he had cheated at an election by overspending and at the same time cheated the public purse with his printing that could be enough for a long enough suspension from the HoC to trigger a recall.

USELESS gimp. my ex mp. nothing to do with his disabilty either. his office is at MOOR park. middle of knowhere if you have to contact him. DONE nothing for fourteen years.

He is actually always campaigning and championing local issues.

Far more so than Ben Wallace who probably doesn’t even know where his constituency is.

He is very visible in the area, I get emails for breakfast, lunch and other meetings from him, plus news letters. However, as you would expect, Labour and the Lib Dem’s are calling for him to be suspended.

They can't do otherwise. The are approached by the press for comment and must be seen to be condemning potential fraud.

His fancy and frequent newsletters have been paid for by us the Taxpayers.
What is it with our Blackpool Tory MPs?
I sincerely hope the Blackpool electorate smell the coffee and get rid of Jug Ears and Benton at the next election.

Careful when your using facts on here it’s not allowed as it upsets some posters.

Same with Scott Benton he’s always out on the streets campaigning and meeting local businesses and attending local community meetings.

Had several meetings with Paul Maynard over the years regarding several local issues like fly tipping and flooding in Thornton he’s always very approachable unlike others.

In comparison when I lived in Blackpool i never saw Gordon Marsden once in the 20 odd years he was my MP probably too busy in his hometown of Brighton.

Oh and I’ve voted Labour all my life before someone accuses me of being a Tory but facts are facts.

I've corresponded with Maynard on a number of occasions. He has always replied promptly. Then again, MPs are meant to do that. If they can't work for and with their constituents they should not be in office. Note: for members of the Government - especially senior Ministers and the Speaker - it is understandable if secretaries are called upon to handle some constituency work.

However, honourable behaviour in office trumps their being good constituency MPs. It is sad if a good constituency MP is brought down by other failings but we must not tolerate dishonourable behaviour.

I see Paul Maynard out and about shopping locally.

Ben Wallace is one creepy feck…

Anyone who has been to the swimming pool where he frequents when he is not on the gravy train down south, would not want their kids near him.

In his defence, maybe he is just watching to ensure other children don’t slip or hurt themselves. Watching intently….
