Paul O'Grady Dead

Never quite "got " Lilley Savage. However, Love of Dogs was brilliant, he loved dogs as much as we do so he was alright in my book. RIP PoG

Met him a few year back, well he met me. Was in Lytham and he was sat at the corner of the bar whilst I was waiting to be served by a disappeared barman. He'd come up for the weekend to see a relative and seemed a nice enough bloke and we chatted for about 10mins. I knew his face, but only when I got back to our friends and they said it was PO'G. Not that I was bothered.

Think he talked about dogs as well....

RIP

Sad to hear this, I wasn't a fan of lily savage but adored his programme for the love of dogs a subject close to my heart. I have a rescue that had been abused, she's been with us 7 years and is so loving and happy ❤️. I'm glad Paul raised the plight of dogs in rescue shelters, I'm baffled people pay 1000 plus for dogs, mine cost me £100. I'd reserve a place in hell for dog breeders, greedy bastards the lot of them. RIP Paul and thanks for the love of dogs, please consider getting a rescue, there are 1000s of them that require a stable loving home.

Not a Lily Savage fan, but he was a great entertainer and his love of dogs was brilliant. The world of entertainment has lost another gem. RIP.

Seem to remember first seeing him (as her) on a TV show filmed at the Layton Institute back in the 90s. Always interesting to see someone who was seen as being edgy back in the day qualify for household name teatime chat show and granny’s favourite status!

RIP Paul
