Just seen that he has signed for a season at Walsall. Aged 40 now and played all 46 league games for Tranmere last season. For me a real professional who loves playing not like many of the premier players who earn so much they just retire rather than drop down the divisions and let smaller clubs and fans see their skills. Before adverse comments yes I'm sure he has earned well but I am still impressed.

Top player with a great attitude…

To this day that Southend move seemed a very strange decision on his part but as said never let us down on the pitch and to still be thought of as a player worth signing at 40.

I think he may have a few regrets about leaving us for Southend. He could well have been a part of our promotion to the Premier League if he had stayed, he was certainly good enough.

The signing / sale was to do with the manager at the time putting in his own money into it and wanting his money back.

The same manager was made to pay Keigan Parker’s rent before the club sorted out his contract.
