Phone upgrade

I was on Three and it was great coverage and foolishly changed to BT for what I thought was a good deal.😒

With ee they no good for the ground live in Catterall work in Blackpool mainly signal between rubbish

Ive just switched from o2 to 3. The rest of my family are on 3. They have never had any problems with 3.
At the Blackburn game my phone had found a 5G signal and so got instant internet access.

Been with o2 years, at Bloomfield Road I just can't get any internet when the ground starts to fill up.

When I was in top year juniors, the headmaster came into the classroom one day and asked if anyone had lost their dinner tickets

I turned around and said ‘no’ out loud. The head called me over and promptly lectured me for calling out and for answering on behalf of the class

He then asked the question again

No prizes for guessing who had lost their dinner tickets

Which brings me to Bfc68 and his comment telling us that his ee doesn’t work in the ground thus implying that nobody’s does

I have an old Apple phone 8c I think, I’ve been with ee since I purchased the phone and I have never had a problem with either calls, text or the internet whilst at the ground

Indeed the only time I had a problem with my phone was at the prem game between pool and West Brom. 💧💦💧☔💦💧💦💧☔

I called my dad at the end of the game and hurried across towards macd’s as I was talking. I was in the queue in macd’s when I finished the call and dropped my phone in my coat pocket. A few moments later a series of strange sounds began to emanate from the pocket. I reached to find my phone in about an inch of rainwater - how we laughed 😱😱😱

To conclude, EE works ok for some users in the ground, but not for all users 👍

Switched to 3 as EE was poor near me and rarely got much of a signal at Bloomfield Road. Now I have good coverage in Newbury and 5G at the stadium.

i’m with 3 it’s ok tbf and save a small fortune compared to ee, however, signal is utter garbage in the ground for me.

I think using a tin can attached to string would give you a better signal than using 3.

But if you want cheap and don't mind being out of coverage, go for it.

Saying that, if you don't travel much and it works in the area where you're going to travel, then go for it, but I've heard 3 along with O2 are poor at football grounds.

EDIT: The best thing to do is to buy a PAYG monthly sim on whatever network and test it in local areas before you commit to a 2 year contract.
I'm on 3, I have signal, but no mobile internet inside Bloomfield road.

I'm with ee and weirdly I get the 4g and 5g icons with between 1 - 3 signal bars all over the ground, but I'll be fucked if the Internet ever works in there.

Used to be with Vodafone and never had any issues.

Vodafone is fine in the ground. 5g too.

Asda mobile and Tesco mobile piggy back of Vodafone. Asda mobile are particularly cheap and good pay as you go, with recurring monthly bundles.
Voxi are also Vodafone.

Tinytractor users Smarty, which is on Three. He also gets a decent signal, and they do some pretty good deals too.
I would never go contract now, these pay as you go monthly bundles deals are much better.

Buy a decent Chinese phone - I use Redmi made by xaomi from mi.com, use PayPal pay in 3. Decent phones under £200, much less depending on your requirements.
