Pickled Red Cabbage Shortage

BFC- I’ve been having similar problems. Aldi stock 3 types of pickled beetroot but no red cabbage. Anyway I had to bite the bullet last week and went over to Booths, and they had a large (709g) jar of Barton’s on offer, so I thought I’d splash out. I can spare you say a quarter of the jar for £1.50 if you collect, or £4 and I’ll meet at Greenhalgh or a pub car park.
Answer quickly as I’ve had other interest

Unfortunately you’re a bit late for tonight’s emergency. I was forced to make do with the beetroot and pickled onion combo instead.

I’ll head to booths tomorrow… And if I don’t get sorted if you can bag me up £1.50’s worth I’d be eternally grateful👍

BFC3 has caused a run on pickled cabbage. People are panic buying. Tesco have limited people to two 500 gram jars. This has the potential to make the recent petrol shortages look tame. Boris has assured people that there is no problem and that the army will be deployed if necessary, and has asked that the public buy pickled cabbage as and when they need it, and not to stock pile.
 
I've got some in the fridge, I can't exactly remember how long it's been there mind?

Failing that, lob some tomato sauce on an iceberg lettuce.
 
I think you need to face your demons down here. It won’t be easy. But if your strong and really want this you’ll kick it. I’m afraid to say there’s too many on here who will just laugh and lead you astray. The top brass at the Armfield certainly can’t be counted on. They’ll be turning a blind eye on Saturday to what is going on the pies.
 
Use white cabbage(plenty available) stick in a boing pan of lemon,Vinegar water and salt take off the heat add garlic let it rest for 30 mins job done. 👍

You've had 'other interest' in a quarter of a jar of pickled cabbage?

You should have said earlier. From last year's harvest I pickled some beetroot in a combo of malt and balsamic vinegar. Half I put in a jar with garlic cloves, the other half in a jar with a scotch bonnet chili. This isn't just pickled beetroot, this is 1966_and_all_that pickled beetroot.
