Pitch looking great

A beautiful sight that is!! Let’s make it a positive atmosphere tomorrow...you can do it Joe 👍

That does look MIGHTY good, not long ago Stan would have been selling pitch grown cabages outside the North on matchdays at this time of year.

It's not seen much action in the last few weeks but it has had constant professional attention with heat lamps to encourage grass growth etc.

Taken from twitter. Don’t think I’ve ever seen the pitch look this good in February. As much moaning as we do about the football, our club is definitely on the up off it View attachment 61

Yeah I said a while ago that got the Tranmere game it'll be good again now after having the lights on it.

Obviously had even more time now and less games.

COYP tommorow perfect chance with a great surface to play some good football.

Cue Southend turning up and playing like Barcelona 😂 cmon pool 100% required tomorrow

A look back at how bad it could get under the Oystons... 😦

No excuse not to play football on it, rather than the route one crap we’ve seen recently.

Everything at the club is rosy, it’s the actual football and results that are disappointing. With a bit of luck and Larry finding his ‘Football Management for Dummies’ book, we could grind out a result out today 🤓

Ironic that the pitch looked great, the wind played a massive impact from the knees up and yet we still wanted to play head ball at times .. GET THE BALL ON THE FLOOR WHERE WE KNOW WE CAN PLAY!! (sorry that was very Paulco!)

Anyone know what stage of the season this was or which game it could have been? Don't recognise any of the players?!

I always find it by searching Blackpool worst pitch.

You find this article...

With the bbc twitter link on it, says 14th Feb 2015.

So same time of year! Crazy difference.

Yes credit to Harry and his team and also Simon Sadler for giving him the equipment to do a good job. UTMP

Has the poster who always posted negatively about any pictures of the pitch looking nice this year not made it over from the other AVFTT site...I can't remember his name but he tried to always come across as some sort of authority on the subject and always said "lets see what it's like in February...well it's Feb and the pitch looks ok to me.

I saw one ball bobble all match. Incredible improvement really. Really putting football first as opposed to bullshitting about it!

Never seen the pitch look as good in February as it did yesterday. Well done Simon Sadler for sorting this out. Onwards and upwards

I wonder how the previous môrön owner would explain away the difference in those two pictures.

He should be ashamed to be seen in public

Didn't some say that the pitch will never be great because of the foundations it's grown on and you'd have to spend thousands to get it right? Does this disprove it or have we just been lucky with the weather and lack of games?

Be interesting to see how it looks at the end of tonight. Another storm heading our way at the weekend but at least the blessing of another two weeks off. Is the RL playing their Big Bash on it again at the end of the season?
