Players that could come in.

Left back we have Husband, Reece James to come back and Lankshear knocking on the door, so not a priority for me regardless of Thompson (who I think will benefit under Critch)

Central midfield and wide positions key
Agree about the wide positions, but I think James will stay with Wednesday and that we’ll get money for him.

My mate is a Liverpool fan and suggests Koumetio and Koumas (son of Jason) as being highly thought of. Don't know enough about them.

Wonder if we might look at Ollie Norburn again played about 18 games for Peterborough on his return from the cruciate ligament injury that scuppered a deal last summer . Good player who would add some muscle to our midfield was captain at Posh so suggests he's a leader which is something we lacked last season. Think £800,000 was quoted last summer but the length of the injury and just twelve months left on his contract must be less than half that now.

Hopefully not, those sorts of injuries are pain to fully recover from and have a habit of reoccurring. Last season should have taught us to be very careful who we sign in that respect.

Kirk's contracted to Charlton until 2025, but surplus there, so maybe a deal is possible.

Joseph, I suspect that Swansea see him as one for the future, so a loan's the best we'll get.

Duhaney, we tried to sign when we needed a RB, we don't now, and he's 24, turning 25 and hasn't done much in his career so far.

Woodburn extended his contract a week ago, and played 42 games last season, how much more first team football does he want?

Keogh, if he was fit and able to play then Ipswich wouldn't have released him.
Kirk on loan at Burton since January but more of an impact sub than a regular starter.

Regarding Norburn 30yrs who is a good player reportedly wants to move back to the North West. I'm sure the club will consider
that if they decide to go for him, plenty more fish in the sea. Nick Powell 29yrs is another who they could be interested in, will come
down to wages at the end of the day.

Nick Powell is 29 years old and just been released by Stoke City - he would make an excellent signing for a league one promotion push!

Of all the names above Powell would be the one if he could be lured.Technically superior to anything we currently have and way above League 1 standard.
