Who was the player who Holloway signed just before the prem season I think. Had long hair and was said he was gooing to be the next George Best. I think he never actually played, but he looked good modeling a Blackpool shirt on the shop windows.

Reid. Bags of ability. Was about 4 stones overweight. Looked knackered running on to the. Pitch. Went to Forest after us (I think) and having slimmed down was good.
 
While I have no doubt that some managers will make better use of limited resources than others and that getting the most of out whatever you afforded is always vital, I can't help but feel sorry for Holloway.

We went into the Premier League with a Championship squad and to face the big guns in the Premier League, Koko armed Olly with a peashooter.

He was always going to have to take risks in the transfer market without the funds to buy proven talent and it was inevitable that some of his signings wouldn't pay off.
 
Bojan Djordjic was another one, did he even play?

That Belgian fella who had a photo with blonde hair on signing and looked fuming and think he crashed a car or something and barely played, his names escaped me.

He was a winger this fella with longish blonde hair and looked utter depressed at signing for us and for the life of me can’t remember his name!!

There’s been so many 😡. Tony Coleman, Salaheddine Sbai, Tommy Sermanni to throw in three random names off the top of my head.
 
Ted McDougall though I seem to recall he scored on a week night against Kilmarnock in the Anglo Scottish Cup or maybe I imagined it
 
There's a more recent player who beats probably all the players on this thread... Peter Hartley. Signed a 2 year contract in June 2017 and didn't even make a single appearance, was loaned out to Motherwell at the end of August 2017 just a couple of months after signing for us and ended up joining them permanently in 6 months later.

I think thats because Curtis Tilt turned out to be the better option.
