Playing for places

I couldn’t be there but listened on TTV. I have to admit I am disappointed by what I heard and I am usually a glass half full type.

I know this competition is not high on the priority list, but I do believe that winning breeds confidence. Hence the disappointment.

I thought it sounded very much like a new team playing together for the first time with a system they haven’t got used to. And repeat the big caveat - I wasn’t there.

Of those who featured tonight how many do you think were playing for squad places in MA’s eyes?

For me it was Lavery, Hamilton for definite and maybe Dougall (maybe - don’t judge me!).

From what I heard I didn’t think either of Lavery or Hamilton did themselves any favours.

Will the clear out continue or, as Thommo inferred in his comments, without nailed on replacements we’ll have to live with the squad as is?

The ball just wouldn’t drop for Lavery. He just needs one to go in off his arse or something.

I thought that Husband was good when he came on. The back line were not troubled at all but Thorniley barely put a foot wrong.

Park I played a few nice balls but often players not on same wavelength.

CJ utterly dire.

Can’t understand why Jerry didn’t get on

Appleton dreadful appointment.

Think lavery just needs a goal ,no luck at all tonight ,maybe the penalty will give him a boost especially it having to be retaken

When you put shit like that up on a public forum, you set yourself up to be sued for libel. You're not the smartest are you ?
For those reading this late Devils comment was a completely justified response to an obnoxious post on this thread that Mods have now removed (thank you Mods) and not my o/p (at least I hope it wasn’t Devils 🤣)

Lavery put the effort in and it just takes a couple of chances to be converted and he will be back to his best. CJ is a lost cause
