PNE away allocation

Lots of talk on the nobbers site about this.

Must admit it would be poor if we only gave them the south east. The police seem to be able to allow other clubs to have way more away fans. Also with segregation you see for eg Tottenham and arsenal 1 meter apart or at anfield the same.

For a game like this there should be excess pool fans demand, but nowehere to put them.

For me id rather ditch x block for segregation, no one sits in it anyway so the 12 people who have a season ticket there should be moved to the next block.

Give the nobbers the south east and corner. Thats a bit shy of 3k.

Open the north side to pool fans but take off one block next to the middle for segregation.

That's what I'd do but doesn't seem like it'll happen.

Given that probably won't happen, how many do we think they will get given?

If no pool fans is possible they may as well fill what they can, so a block or two of the north east too?

There were 2 empty blocks against Barnsley so can’t see why another block can’t be used without reasonable segregation for the knobbers so what’s that about 3,500-3,750? And it would still be out of throwing reach from the North.

But for Gods sake I hope someone from the club finally listens to supporters and don’t let them out same time as the home fans on to Bloomfield road.

Funny isn't it the nobbers always kept us back but someone said its against people's rights now..... 🙄

If that's the case we won't be kept back at their place....

Ita a load of bollocks, in the interest of safety surely its allowed or is there going to be 5k claims going in after pne away, after a wrongful imprisonment 🙄

Barnsley sold 2900, Blackburn have been given 3100 and told no more so can see that being what the Nobbers get, still can’t see it being 3pm Saturday either

You can have segregation 1m apart at other grounds, that's because they haven't got knobheads throwing stuff at each other.

I thought united and Liverpool was the fiercest derby according to some....

Yet often at many other clubs with rivalries, they put them so close, yet usually it seems ok.

It can't just be us with a few people who have thrown some plastic bottles etc.

Probably because the other teams knob heads have already been banned. We effectively started fresh from the takeover season so we are going to have to go through that process again until the losers are kicked out again.

Who cares ? There’s going to be loads of us making all the noise every where WE go !

It’s not a war v PNE it’s just an annihilation - perils 👍🍊⚽🕺😎

Well its not a great look if we can only give them a paltry 2k ish.

I suggested about 3k which is a bit under 1/5 useable capacity, similar ish to what we get. But in a scenario where pool fans were prioritised in the north east, but thats just a pipe dream tbh.

If its not used for us we may as well give them all we can, within safe limits.

After all, they are talking about wanting reciprocal allocations.

Not that their owner will listen probably, but still.

From what I heard after the police meeting with the club:

2500 max away tickets, north side of the East to be opened up to home fans 👍🏻
3pm KO
And 250 coppers on duty

I stress that this is only what I’ve been told, I’ve no ITK credentials etc but time will tell I spose

I would give the north side of the east stand to pool fans if the demand is there a let the away fans have the south east corner as at the moment its only used for away fan flags it would give them another 500 ish and keep them well away from the north and flash points.

No facilities for anyone sat there without them mixing with the rest of the South.

Yes there are its the same as all the away fans its blocked off from home fans its the bar and toilets at the far end of the south stand that are used by the away fans.

There only way of reaching that is via the front of the ground and down the tunnels. No way could the catering down in that corner cope with the demand.

Thanks for that answer as I asked it a while ago about segregation under the south and didn't get an answer.

Someone at the match last Saturday told me it was to be 5pm ko, so who knows what it will be!
Do we think we will sell out the whole of the home sections plus the North end of the East?

Will they sell, not been good in the past at selling their full allocation
They've taken over 6K and 7K to Ewood prior to C19, anyone thinking they won't shift 2500 is being a little silly. Why we can't give them 4K I don't know, what's the point in having capacity if the police get to decide how many a club can bring. The last thing we want is for them/police to restrict our allocation for the return fixture.

Yeah daft if it's the police who always decide how many can go...

We build a 25k stadium.....police "only 12k max allowed".... 🤦‍♂️

2,200 with the kick off staying the same it seems. A lot of unhappy Preston fans on Twitter and their forum.

I don't blame them either.

But while our fans behave the way they have been doing, it doesn't exactly come as a surprise. Hopefully the club will say more at the meeting tonight.

Pretty pathetic tbh.

I understand the clubs inherited this shite stand but thats a poor do.

Are pool fans going in the north part? If so I'll let them off a bit but I doubt it.

As I said above why not move x block to segregation and give them the corner too thats never used and have pool in the north part minus 1 block segregation.

What a pointless capacity we have.

Now they are talking about giving us the same at their place.

They were never going to get the same amount as their stadium holds more, but seems a poor do.

If I end up missing the away game then the biggest excitement of the season is gone.

Even if they give us the same % tickets we gave them of capacity it may only be 3k + ish.

Doesn't make us look very good.

Unless I am missing something, isn't this the perfect scenario?

I don't want 5k/6k knobbers in the whole of the East.

I want the bare minimum and the maximum we can have full with Blackpool fans. We can sell the home ends out for this game. So why would we let them have more than they should get?

The reason we get more is because they can't sell a decent amount of home tickets. And they know we will sell out the away end.

Who is our ground safety officer?

I would give them exactly the same as Barnsley and Blackburn so just over 3000 spread over the middle sections of both sides of the East stand

I would then open up the SE corner to home fans using the last block or half a block of the north side of the East for segregation and keep the full block nearest to South stand empty

By doing this we should be able to get nearly 15000 in (or as those weird sods at the wrong end of the M55 say “on’)

It would be ROCKING 🥁🥁

I don't think the North side of the East is going to be opened to Pool fans though either. So there are going to be around 2,500 empty seats ehich could have been filled by either home or away fans. Mental.

I'd be shock if pool fans get the east after no plans mentioned in previous briefs.

Also if safety is such an issue loading pool fans into that stand surely won't happen?

Agreed. We lose home advantage if we give them the whole of the East.

I’d add that I just can’t see home fans in the east- there are no facilities and the concourse under the north is woefully inadequate already and so another 2000 hone fans sharing the north facilities would be disastrous

But you and no one else knows that? But would be strange to have thousands of seats there for no reason.

This is it. Open the East to our fans or its a poor doo. It the safety is a worry then kicking off at 3pm negates this theory. They could reduce our allocation now out of pettiness & you couldn’t blame them.

That stand is a pile of shit and to not be able to house our support due to lack of facilities or cope with a big away following with suitable exit points is an embarrassing doo. We’d been saying the same for Fleetwood and we did.

What did we have in the previous seasons when away fans where in there or when our fans have been? Portakabins and a burger truck?

Yes giving them the whole east would be giving them a much higher % than they give us of capacity at theirs.

I think about 3.5k at ours would be about the same % as we get.

If we did what I said with the corner it would be close to 3k plus pool fans o the north part.

Seemed fair but looks like the police etc won't have it.

This is just asking for trouble in my opinion. They’ve done this in the name of safety but I guarantee there will be Nobbers trying to get tickets in the home end or turning up outside without tickets.
I think we’re much more likely to have kick offs this way than if we gave them an extra 1000 ( like Barnsley and Blackburn have got) where they can be managed in one area by a large police presence.

It's disappointing that the nobbers can’t be given the same allocation as T'Rovers and Barnsley it would have added to the atmosphere. Why on earth it’s still kicking off at 3pm beggars belief and a recipe for disaster given recent events, not only that it’s the first Saturday of half term when the town will be very busy.

I agree. This seems a far less safe way of doing it, but “safety” doesn’t actually seem to be the main factor.

Why would we give PKE anymore than the South-East as we will sell out the North-East ourselves, Barnsley/Blackburn were given more as we couldn't sell them ourselves.

What a load or rubbish....PKE wont have any fans in our end a few might try and go in corporate but they wont be in our end that's for sure they never have had in the 50 years I've been attending.

The priority should always be home fans. We’ve got a limited capacity stadium and so we need to accommodate as many of our own as we can. Presumably there is a plan to put some Blackpool in the NE…

It won’t affect any allocation their end either… They need the money and have plenty of space.

If we do fill the north part of the East minus a block segregation maybe, it makes more sense, but I can't see that happening.

Just can't see 1-2k pool fans being allowed in the same stand as them if safety is their fear.

Although no reason it shouldn't be able to happen, just doesn't seem likely with what we've heard and the lack of facilities.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if they are.

Ever since that statement came out from the minutes, it said no pool fans in the east.

Scrafton said in his article it could only be 1 block of the east for home fan's if it is happening at all.

Poor do, unusable capacity that's small anyway.

We have the same facilities in the North-East as when it was full against Southend, have a safety certificate for it.... different exit/entry points to the South-East, segregation in the shape of the media facilities, home and away have been in there for numerous season without issue.

The statement said we don't have any immediate plans to house Blackpool fans in there as we didn't need it due to demand and not getting the numbers we will now have plans to use it as we will have the demand.

I'd wait and see, but even if it's a choice between accommodating 500 more home fans vs 1500 more away fans, then it's right to prioritise home fans.
