I think the old trout Joan wins the prize for the most deluded, bitter Nobber of the weekend. Makes me wonder if she was actually at Dumpdale. 😂😂😂
You could only hear the nobbers a few times in the north.

For a full SE allocation in that low east it can be very loud if fans are good.

The north never stopped, the south was going at times as was the west. The whole place bouncing at times was way beyond anything ever seen at Deepdale.

My step dad…a nobber (god bless him) . I text him saying better team won. His response - “Hardly. Your goals were ...a bit strange to say the least if whiteman hadnt missed that sitter you may well have lost. Good team spirit but thats it not much else”
Tell your Mum to find a decent man! 😎

Simply another delusional fairies at the bottom of the garden Nobber. Easily the most delusional fans in the world. They are a cult.

They just don’t get it. Thick as fuck.

They slag us off for boycotting which actually helped us get our Club back- it’s also made us realise how good it is to have our Club back, our support has intensified for it all.

They think support is turning up & wanting to be entertained, if they aren’t they start moaning and booing. If they go 2 down at Bournemouth or Reading they aren’t coming back because their fan base won’t back them, basically they boycott their team during a game if they aren’t doing well. I read a few things where they were slagging off our support pre-match asking why are they bouncing up and celebrating now? They’ve not sussed that their team might look at the support and get a buzz off it.

Sums them up. Shit support end miserable bastards.

The entitlement they should’ve had a bigger ticket allocation was another thing. Deluded beyond belief.

Fuckin idiots.

Loved it yesterday, cos we just get it and they don’t.

Here's another one, so easy to disprove the bitter idiots.

20211024_210415.jpg

Heres 15 minutes before the game with not even near a full stand.

20211024_210642.jpg

At least this guy seems to admit it.

There's the it's ramos video, Lee Charles TV video.

Deluded bunch 🙄

Only sing when we're winning 😂 Reading away fans in fine voice 2 down, Cardiff at home was rocking when losing etc etc.

They have been taken down a peg or 2 and some are trying desperately to save face.

They have copied our "Jump around if you hate Blackpool song". Fuck me, imaginative bunch.

This just re-enforced that they are the single most delusional fans outside of the Premier League.

The latest gem from bullshit online is.

"We had to sing is this a library to the lashers"

The gift that keeps giving🤣🤣🤣

Sorry to bring up yesterday's news, but chatting to a nobber "acquaintance " at work today about Mr. Critchley, who my colleague criticised for his reaction to the North on Saturday after we'd put them away.
He then referred to their forum and, on inspection, there was a "Neil Critchley to be sacked" thread, posted, originally, in March 2020.
Had to chuckle at some of the comments on the first page, generally mocking us, with only a couple expressing concern.
Jump to the end of the thread and there's a suggestion that NC should now be
"head-hunted".
It is pathetic, sad, yet funny to see them revealed for the moronic, bitter twats they really are.

I remember reading a thread about our signings at the time, the poster mentioned Lavery as a player from the part time northern Irish mini league who he had no doubt would simply fade into the night and none of our recent signings would get in the Nobbers first team. 😂

It wasn’t Joan either. 😄

It is indeed a great read if anyone hasn't seen it. Clueless PNE fans......again

Post no.33 is a belter...
"Just looked, his goals ( referring to Gnanduillet) have earned them 18pts in terms of deciding results and some of the goons would have been happy to sell him.

I suppose they do have that goal machine Gary Madine now..."

...lol, that aged well!!!! 🤣🤣

I happen to largely agree with that. 🤠🤣

Oh it’s an absolute treasure trove tonight of classic Nobber quotes.

If you’d like to post some of your favourites that you find here - it’ll make lovely reading!

I’ll start with this one just posted by one of the deluded ones……

As for Blackpool today. They were a shite, niggly team, aided and abetted by a shite ref and led by a manager with the smuggest, most smackable face I’ve seen in a long time!

😂😂😂
Obviously a totally unbiased Nobber.
He's appearing at The Tower Circus next year.
Taking over from Charlie Cairoli.🤡

your relentless negativity towards Madine shows no sign of abating.
Your relentless stalking of people you disagree with shows no sign of abating.

Ive said some very positive things about him. More selective reading from yourself.

No dispute over the stats though. Obviously.

pathetic comment. Discussing a players merits or lack of them is considered stalking!

Don’t know if it’s already been mentioned but how bad was their support. So quiet, was ** dreadful. Was well disappointed
"Some people have had a pop at our fans. 🤣
60 years outside the top flight, no real giant killing or cup run in decades and yet at 1-0 down we were still singing as much or more than a fan base which has been spoilt with successes for years.
Whatever is wrong at Nobbers, it’s not the fans. Most patient support in football"

🤣🤣🤣

Very patient, 1 nil down and....

Boooooooooooooo

He has previously said stuff like this, one of the most deluded of them all.

Well they were unbelievable today, even though pains me to say that. Everyone got involved rather than it being a few individuals in a corner of a stand.
"They have noisy support but I can assure you they didn’t all join in and had they had 60 years of the shite we’ve endured they wouldn’t have had 2 to 3000 watching a beamback back at their own ground. They’re bandwagoners like most fans"

The man(?) Is completely deluded. We're the club who's been lurking in the lower leagues and had owners who had zero ambition etc. We've had far more shite than them. They've been above us for a while before this season and yet have completely failed to capitalise on it 🤣

You're off again. Discuss a player's merits? Where have you done that? You've just slagged me off, that's all.
I wish you were. Simply pointing out than when the topic of Madine crops up you can be sure that you're name will pop up on the thread with your negative comments about him. That's fine, you don't rate him but I think it's perfectly valid that your view of him can be challenged. That is not stalking.

Plenty of people on here disagree with my opinion. Only you get shirty, repeatedly. Plenty of people agree with my opinion too, and the stats back it up as well. The podcast people were saying that Sean McGinley isn't a fan. Maybe have a pop at him, and give me a rest?!

People disagreeing with others opinion, well I never! Plenty disagree with mine too but I don't consider them stalkers. It's a football forum and I read most of the threads. If I disagree with something I'll say so just like I do when I agree with something as well. In fact, I'd go as far to say that over the years i've probably agreed with a lot more of your posts than I've disagreed with.

Yeah people disagree with me and it's cool/ They don't all do my head in, only you do that, you seem to have an obsession. They don't all call me pathetic or relentlessly negative etc. I am not relentlessly negative, I am one of the most positive posters on here FFS. I have said positive things about GM. I've never called him shit, even though you said I have. I just don't see the wonder player that others see, that is all. I don't see the goals a central striker should score, he scored 3 goals in 15 games in his 2015 stint, and has 6 goals in 30 games in his current contract period. Why the adulation? I don't really understand it. Perhaps it's a bit of a working class hero kind of thing. I just judge players on their football. I get that he gives us a physical presence, and mixes it up etc. and that appeals to football fans. That's fine. I've nowt against him, he seems a great guy.

And I just have a preference for a different style of play, as I have explained many times. He scored a great goal on Saturday, as I have made clear, and played well, and I made that clear too. You just won't accept that my opinion doesn't match yours. I think our team is better without him in it, generally speaking, but at least last Saturday he performed well and made a big contribution. If he keeps improving and getting fitter, he'll be a useful asset this season. Saturday was a good start. I like the idea of Carey or Simms or somebody else mobile playing in there better though, myself, it's just my personal preference. I've never been a huge fan of the big target man. I prefer to watch better movement, and the best sides never (or very rarely) have a traditional target man, it seems to me. John Murphy was a great player for us, great partnership with Brett, great servant to the club, great bloke, but I always wished we didn't play that style even then, even with a prolific scorer in that position. It makes the football predictable, you concede possession to often, the defenders use it as an easy out ball. It's not without its merits, of course, but I think there is better, and the best coaches think there is better, it would appear. Some even play a false 9 now. I'm not sure about that, but i understand the thinking and I like the commitment it involves to good movement, interchange and link up play.

I actually liked Gnando, which is a bit contradictory. But he was a very quirky player, and individual, and he did score regularly, all types of goals. He brightened up a poor period for us, but is not what we need now. I understand that there are situations in which GM is useful to have on the pitch. But I wouldn't start him very often, unless he keeps improving and if he does I will happily have him in the starting XI.

Thank you. 🙃

There’s deluded and there’s plain thick.

Annoys me when I see comments like “Bandwagoners” and “Glory Hunters.”

They refuse to believe the majority of our supporters stayed away due to NAPM. They put it down to us being in LG2/LG1 and shïte. Then returning when the results picked up. A couple of promotions later. Rewriting history or simply not prepared to listen.

Wrong.

She once laid into a moderator on PNEONLINE who banned me simply because I was a Lasher and got me reinstated.

Although I did get potted three weeks later.😯

Joan's okay.
I think Joan
Then we'll agree to disagree and leave it at that.
I'll reserve judgement on her! 😉. Some are OK. I remember going in a boozer near Sheepdale about 10 years back, on a match day, and meeting 'Ando 60' 'Jack Daniels' and a couple of others. They were having a Wake for 'Shaky', a regular poster on the board that died, and then going to the match. Had a good natter with quite a few of them, a few beers and a bit of a laugh...despite the occasion 😏. They offered to pay me into the game....but I kindly resisted the 'temptation'! 😉😁

Yet you didn't comment at all on the players merits (or lack of). 🧐

Looking forward to 20s considered opinion, with his trademark flair and humour, in the same way that Voyeur eloquently laid his out.

just ask away. Any particular player you want me to give my assessment of? Don't be shy in asking. Seeing as the subject matter was Madine, I'll give you my thoughts on him. When we signed him in the January transfer window, I think a lot of our fans had thought we'd signed a very good player. But for a long time, ie the rest of that season and the start of the next, which included the change of manager, he looked a variety of being unfit, disinterested, not good enough and maybe one or two other things. That inevitably led to many fans questioning him and the signing. Me included.
Then the following season for some reason when it was clear that it wasn't particularly working with Yates trying to play as a lone striker with his back to goal, Critchley who perhaps had written Madine off, opted to give him another chance. Perhaps to see if it could bring the best out of Yates by putting him with a target man who he could play off. And it worked. Suddenly Madine looked the target man player we thought he would be and Yates confidence came flooding back and he looked much sharper running the channels etc. Their partnership prospered and I'd have to say Madine won a lot of the fans over, me included, with his form. He's probably never gonna be a prolific goalscorer but it was clear for most to see that he added something to the team

But of course, as we all know Madine seems to suffer from a lot of injuries and so we had to look at the alternatives and we brought in Ellis Simms to partner Jerry and whilst he clearly isn't a replica of Madine that partnership flourished too.

Promotion followed and it's a big step up and so far it seems we have adjusted pretty well. But with Madine frustratingly being sidelined with injury for the early part of the season Critch again had to look at alternative ways of playing. And just like the start of last season Jerry struggled on his own up front and that's why Lavery got a chance. But his injury and Madines return to fitness has given Critch a chance to put their partnership together again and so far it's paying dividends.

However, i'll make no bones about it, our performance at Reading was a cut above any other game we've played this season. And for me that's for two reasons. Firstly, Critch decided to not go with Madine the big target man, and secondly he decided to give Carey a chance. A player who can get on the ball in those pockets between the opposition midfield and defence and make things happen. Added to that the introduction of Dale and Bowler and it was as good and as dominant a performance as i've seen from us for a good few years. So of course that makes you think how Critch would play it next time out and he reverted to what and who he trusted to do the job in the big derby match.

So to sum up. Is Madine the solution? Long term probably not? Do we play our best football when he's in the team? Again probably not? Would i pick him every week? Again, probably not. But do I have faith in the team Critch selects even though sometimes I disagree with it and will say so. Most definitely YES.

Good post and an interesting read, cheers.

I think from reading both your posts you and Voyeur are a lot closer in your opinions on Madine than you may think. I didn't disagree with much of either of them so I guess I'm quite close to that opinion too.

Speculation really, but I think Madine has really impressed Critchley with his application and attitude off the pitch and around the training ground and dressing room. I keep thinking back to that interview with our (then) two most senior pros in Madine and Maxwell where the two of them spoke so highly of Critch, words along the lines of feeling like they'd been taught football poorly at previous clubs when judged against Critch's training. Given Madine's off the pitch misdemeanours earlier in his career, being a good influence around the training ground isn't something people naturally associate with him but it seems Madine is maturing into a well respected senior pro and is adding big benefits there. I wouldn't be surprised to see Critch bring him into the coaching side of things as him careers move into it's twilight.

In summary, would I have Madine in my best XI, no, but I'd definitely want him around the club and as an option on the pitch.

Not much difference at all really. I've been slow to acknowledge GM's improvement, no doubt, but I think his performances in a tangerine shirt have been exaggerated by some and I think that has held me back! I'm pretty generous to Blackpool players usually, and stick up for them, when they are getting slagged off online. I guess GM pissed me off with what I perceived as a bad attitude after he signed for us on good wages. Looked like he wanted the money with minimal effort. Either I got that wrong, or Critch has rejuvenated him and given him his mojo back. I reckon the latter. His enthusiasm was plain to see last weekend, even to me, and that changes things from my point of view. That, and Critch's remarks about how big an influence he is in the group. Which is great to hear. Wor Gaz. 👍

I'd agree you are generally a positive sort who fights the good fight on here, @voyeur , not sure calling you negative is fair.

There's a bit of a cult around Madine, but he is starting to justify it slowly on and off the pitch.
