Madness and he flatters to deceive, they are just chasing their losses
Not sure he's the epicentre. If he left, the epicentre would still be there I reckon. He's probably the big red flashing light outside the epicentre. For me he seems to be the epicentre of all that is wrong at United right now.
They had issues before Pogba. Their senior leadership is ** rank. For me he seems to be the epicentre of all that is wrong at United right now.
All down to Ed Woodward for the past 8 years... without challenging in the Prem. They had issues before Pogba. Their senior leadership is ** rank.
Bad big money signings.
Bad manager selections.
Lack of investment into the correct areas.
the problem is the owners, I siad on here a long time ago that The glazier family are doing much the same as the oystons did at Pool. Whereas the Oystons were entirely concerned with the property of BFC, the Glaziers' sole occupation is advertising and sponsorship revenue. Not sure he's the epicentre. First time I've heard calling a decision to release a player for free who was later sold for £90m as 'right'.Fergie got it right, he released him when he was first at United for his attitude, nothings changed since.
But from a football perspective he's right. This will sound harsh, but Pogba could be a poster boy for all that's wrong with modern football. An undoubted world class talent that delivers so much less than the sum of his parts. Every bit of evidence around his club career should tell a club not to bother, yet there will always be a few lining up to chuck a fortune at him. Compare him and his work ethic and performances with the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Modric, Iniesta, Xavi or even English guys like Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham, Henderson, Scholes and Giggs and they're a million miles apart.First time I've heard calling a decision to release a player for free who was later sold for £90m as 'right'.

He does a little dance and dyes his hair and has fun and these are the worst things in the world for people who fundamentally just dislike footballHe does a great dance when he scores though. Surely that must count for something in this day and age?
To be fair, Beckham had all kinds of hair 'styles', tattoos, Spice girl wife, had fun etc and was probably the forerunner of the modern footballer and their image. The difference was, he trained hard, and put in 100% effort every time he was on the pitch, along with having some talent which brought him success. He does a little dance and dyes his hair and has fun and these are the worst things in the world for people who fundamentally just dislike football
Everywhere I look online, or if I overhear people talking about football, it appears to me people just do not like football - outside of their own team.
He does not even justify a starting position in the side. If Utd pay up who else will they need to give parity to?He does a little dance and dyes his hair and has fun and these are the worst things in the world for people who fundamentally just dislike football

I thought Jones was one of Manure's better performing players the other evsening.Having taught a young Phil Jones (Not sure I've ever mentioned that on here) I was pleased to see his return go well for him. Regardless of perceived lack of ability, he gives his all and certainly doesn't stroll around or moan at others when things aren't working. Utd have a lot of players like that at the moment, gifted footballers but hearts the size of a pea.
David Beckham got slaughtered for all that stuff. He got stuck with the prima donna tag most of his career.
There's lots of great things to enjoy in football and unlike some, I don't see the money as a bad thing. For the record, I've no problems with Paul Pogba picking up a massive salary for under performing. And he DOES under perform compared his huge amount of talent. It's the clubs that keep spending on players like him that are at 'fault'.If Paul Pogba is everything wrong with football the sport is clearly in a fantastic place.
He did but he answered critics in the best way, on the pitch with performances. From Eng;and fans burning his effigy after being sent off, to single-handedly dragging England over the qualifying line against Greece, he showed he had the steel and application to be a great player. Not to mention the silverware and European success with Utd.David Beckham got slaughtered for all that stuff. He got stuck with the prima donna tag most of his career.
He did, but as Junior says, you could at least see that he was 100% professional in his performances. Total effort all the time and in a lot of cases, his ability was underrated (probably) because of all the sideshow.David Beckham got slaughtered for all that stuff. He got stuck with the prima donna tag most of his career.
The money is meaningless by this point to me, I really don't have a reaction to these crazy figures. It's lost all meaning. But Pogba was great at Juve and maybe if United get a real manager then he can be againThere's lots of great things to enjoy in football and unlike some, I don't see the money as a bad thing. I agree with you regarding the money. I have no issue with the massive sums the players get. They are the ones that generate the revenue and should be the ones that benefit from it.The money is meaningless by this point to me, I really don't have a reaction to these crazy figures. Agreed with market forces, and the players get the money clubs are willing to spend. Pogba has maybe had too much success too young - if you look at his honours list, on paper he's had a hugely successful career. If he had the same consistency as Ronaldo, who knows what else he'd have achieved:I agree with you regarding the money. I have no issue with the massive sums the players get. They are the ones that generate the revenue and should be the ones that benefit from it.
I'll have to disagree re PP. I see an enormous talent that lets himself down through an obvious lack of effort and care. He's miles away from the world's top players despite having all the attributes to be right up there with the best. That can only come down to one person in the end.
If Paul Pogba is everything wrong with football the sport is clearly in a fantastic place.
Constantly looking for the next move? He's 28 and played for 2 clubs. You have to be joking, surely? The man cares about nobody but himself, can't be trusted to work for his team, turns in one good performance every Preston Guild and is constantly looking for the next move.
And I read newspaper speculation about his future every year without fail. I wonder where they get their stories from?Constantly looking for the next move? He's 28 and played for 2 clubs.
Ah yes, red top newspaper transfer gossip. Definitely the great bastions of truth telling and reporting. And I read newspaper speculation about his future every year without fail. I wonder where they get their stories from?
He's not even that good a player. Great athlete when he can be bothered (which isn't often), very poor tactical awareness, liable to go missing when the chips are down.
They've just gone back to their natural level, they've only ever won the league under two managers since they brought crossbars in.
On what basis is any of it down to Woodward out of interest? Does he coach the players? All down to Ed Woodward for the past 8 years... without challenging in the Prem.
Ed Woodward - a Bristol Univ accountant, developed at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and a rugby fan - is stepping down at the end of February and is being replaced by...

The new boss is the same as the old boss. So why do they expect things to change? At least the commercial sponsorship deals may continue to flow. They will need to, to balance the £1 BILLION spaffed away on transfer fees and wages in the last 8 years.
Only at United has that been the case. And I read newspaper speculation about his future every year without fail. I wonder where they get their stories from?

I’d be doing a little victory dance every day if I was on his wages. He does a great dance when he scores though. Surely that must count for something in this day and age?
JBPS - for me if they had a team full of players with PJ's attitude, they would have won something by now. Ive seen PJ put his head in the way of an incoming boot, to stop a chance. Would rather have him than 10 feckin Paul Pogbas.Having taught a young Phil Jones (Not sure I've ever mentioned that on here) I was pleased to see his return go well for him. He’s probably on a goals scored bonus as well as the 400k a week.️️️️I’d be doing a little victory dance every day if I was on his wages.

I was meaning he was right in saying he has a shit attitude, nobody can ever question the lads ability.First time I've heard calling a decision to release a player for free who was later sold for £90m as 'right'.
I understand that, but releasing him on a free for his attitude was obviously the wrong choice.I was meaning he was right in saying he has a shit attitude, nobody can ever question the lads ability.
He has selected the last 4 managers (failed) and has played a very active role in choosing which players to get in. One BILLION quid spent on the playing side during EW’s tenure. The latest and most prominent example being CR7, at £500k/week, who OGS did not even want. Woodward insisted on contracting CR7 simply because it was possible that City would get him, so he panicked at how he thought the ManU fans would react. I think City/Guardiola (and maybe CR7’s agent) played him for a fool. Even if CR7 is still quality at 37 yo, he is not what they needed to build for the future. On what basis is any of it down to Woodward out of interest? Does he coach the players?
His agent has repeatedly released statements to the European press that Pogba has shown 'interest' in moves to Real, Barca and PSG. So as his agent represents him, the obvious inclination is he is constantly looking for a move.Constantly looking for the next move? He's 28 and played for 2 clubs.
Sounds like his agent is doing a good job of landing him a big contract offer. His agent has repeatedly released statements to the European press that Pogba has shown 'interest' in moves to Real, Barca and PSG.
