Pogba being offered 400kgbp a week contract

The underlying cause of Pogba’s agent demanding £400k/week for him is probably the open secret that Woodward agreed to pay £500k/week for CR7. Footballers can be prima donnas and notoriously prone to tantrums when someone new comes in on a greater wage. I suspect Pogba fits that category. So, down to Woodward again?

I'm trying to think about what Paul Pogba's great big controversies are which warrant this sort of comment. Is it because he used to dab? Because he dyes his hair different colours? Like I get his commitment in training has been questioned by one or two journalists touting 'inside sources' and he clearly hasn't lived up to his billing. But the way people talk about him you'd think he had got caught drunk driving or something, like some of England's heroes. Or Blackpool's or that matter.

I think the basic problem is he didn't really want to be at the club from the start and his performances reflect that.
 
It seems that everybody recognises his ability but have a similar opinion regarding his commitment to using that ability to the full. That is a fair comment. For £90 million and £300K a week over the last four seasons or so, you would expect average performances to be a 7 out of 10 a week, with a few 8s & 9s and the odd 5. In some of his games he has been downright putrid - effort or lack of, positional sense, decision making and simply missing in action. That is the biggest controversy, not his hairstyles or off-field antics. For the money he was expected to have a similar impact to Cantona or Keane - and that was not an unrelistic expectation as they have had a bunch of very good players there during that time. God knows why they want to throw good money after bad. He must sell a lot of shirts somewhere.

Why are they still offering him a contract he is bang average in the premier league
but when I see that crab Mctominay start well thats probably why
