I'm behind our owner, but know very little about him. You don't get where he has by being weak. I also don't know what he's like to work for either. Can't really say any more than that.

Everyone has a right to express their opinion. Given the "no" votes will be a small minority it would be interesting to understand why they voted "no" without subjecting them to mindless abuse. I voted "yes" by the way.
Haven't seen any posts yet from the "no" camp. They must have reasons surely. Or are they just doing it out of devilment? I would really like to see what they've got to say if they have a serious opinion that is.

The reality is that every decision in football is a gamble, in an alternative reality, if Fiorini had been fit for the first half of the season, and Bridcutt had managed a decent number of games, then maybe we'd all be hailing the appointment of Appleton as a genius move.

So I'm not sure what simple avoidable mistakes the club is making.
Don't forget Grimmy in goal as he is a big factor in all this.

Unsure, because in the last 12 months the only communication from the club appears to be about 'telling fans off.'
Some deserve to be told off, but the vast majority pay their money and just look for some entertainment. That has been sadly lacking, with no one seeming to take any responsibility for it.

Genuinely hope in the next few months I would be able to say yes, but for now I will hedge my bets.

A bump from before a ball was kicked. I get the feeling the results wouldn't be quite so conclusive after a poor start and another poor window.

Personally, I'm still behind him.... for now.

We haven't got any choice but to get behind what players we do have & the board too. Joseph may turn out good but how far away will that be? Dembele may also be the key to creating something. We are light in a few areas ATM so we need to adapt to a system that suits what we have right now. I wouldn't want to own a football club & spend loads of my money & still get dogs abuse. But it would help if they actually communicated what was going on though. When the injured players return I don't think we will be miles off, but the immediate future isn't very inspiring. I'll repeat just play our strongest team with players in their correct positions.

Maybe you should create a new poll then and we'll see.

Tonight has demonstrated he doesn't have the ambition and/or funds to take Blackpool.forward..I've no doubt we'll get an update on the training ground and East Stand soon. It is straight from the Oyston playbook.

However, I think this sums it up perfectly.

The other thing we can expect is a sanctimonious club statement about the realities of football, how much has already been invested and the cost of relegation. Well Mr Sadler it was your lack of investment and brainless appointment of managers that has led us back to L1. With your latest appointment and transfer window you've managed to suck all the optimism out of a large percentage of our fan base. It seems you lack the gumption or funds to take this club further, L1 also rans is your comfort zone. Roll on 3pm, UTMP.

He's not doing a good job ,but I can't see us finding anyone else to invest like he has. You can't not be behind him unless some fairy godfather with stacks of cash wants to throw his money away on a club that averages 8,000 home fans .

85% still in favour of the owner

I think Polls like this we should remove anonymity - be clear on your stance and your views.

It'll be interesting to see what the members of this message board feel towards our owner.

For me, he is absolutely the man to take us forward. Yes, he's made mistakes. He's learning on the job and he has been grossly let down by some of the people he entrusted to run the club for him.

I genuinely feel he has the best intentions for our football club and that he wants to leave a lasting legacy.

That is just one opinion though. It will be interesting to see what the votes and comments are.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. He's had years to learn on the job. To put things in perspective. In his mainline of work do you think Sadler would still employ an employee who is taking so long to learn the requirements to successfully perform his job and whose mistakes literally cost millions in lost revenues (relegation) and who failed to set up success for the future? I don't think he would, because if he did he wouldn't have been successful.

No owner of a club should expect to be praised 24/7
Where was this communication during the disaster of last season?
Saying I've done this ,I've done that for the club ... well you own it so it's kind of your job to be honest .
I appreciate him don't get me wrong but he's not infallible
I absolutely hate the slaps on wrist kind of message he puts out
Like we are in the wrong for questioning his leadership, it smacks of thin skin and in his line of work I'm surprised at that.
I will always put my club before massaging anybodies ego
Perhaps when a spade enters the ground on one of the projects he talks about I might feel a little different
And finally...
Would this statement have been released if we had been roundly beaten on Saturday?
Anyway it's 7am in brisbane so time for breakfast before deciding what to do in the sunshine today.
The mighty should always come before an individuals ego

Totally, and very glad of his communication.
I hope that what he's saying gets through to the many of those who are not behind him, who just want him to spend everything he's got.

No reason not to be. There are certain posters who don’t seem to realise the day to day expense of running a football club when transfer fees are involved. There is not a separate piggy bank marked transfer money. Everyone needs to be paid and there are day to day expenses.

My only transfer concern has been about the areas we choose to spend on not the apparent missing money.

Overall I am happy with the transfers over this summer although I would probably have preferred to have another forward in rather than the amount of midfielders.

Im behind Simon as always.

You really can't beat a reasoned, balanced post, can you? I wonder if there is anyone out there willing to advise you on how to compile such a missive?

Does it not give you the option to change your vote?
Yes but I bet many don't change the votes when they've voted on something as the thread takes them to where they were before, not to the start, it also doesn't show what it was in the past, better a new one, but tbh pointless as it will get similar result.

I bet the ones voting no are those that held shares in the club. After numerous years of holding them with no further input other than to help the Oystons increase their wealth, they thought they were going to get a handsome windfall when Simon took over. Well done Simon for investing in the club, its better now and hopefully greater soon. 👍
