Pool v west brom prem season

Yep, they had nine men and were hammering us towards the end of game. Thought we were lucky to escape with a win.

That first red was a little harsh, but it makes up for some shocking referee decisions that we've had at their place.

Doesn’t even come close to the horrific decisions we had against us that season. Said it loads but if VAR was about this season we’d have stayed up

If VAR was about this season we’d have stayed up

You'd hope, but judging by some of the VAR decisions this season, I'm not so sure about that. Fortune has somehow seemed to favour the rich. That said, robbed of around 12 points, you'd think that VAR would have found at least three or four decisions in our favour to have made the difference.

BTW: Some of the passing in that clip is ridiculous, it reminds you of the fluency with which the ball was swung around that season. I remember a pass from Charlie in the return fixture at the Hawthorns which was astonishing - 70 odd yards, swinging from deep in his own half, to feet on the far right wing. If there were awards for passes of the season, that would have been it.

Yep, i remember that pass. Astonishing is the right word. We played well that day, but the combination of yet another winger schooling Eardley and a Cathcart mistake did for us.

The Premier League list of referees was a very cosy little club IMO. If you weren’t ‘in’ your weren’t getting out!
