Poor officiating

On the flip side, Madine's goal should not have counted, he was all over their defender.
I was surprised too, as he seemed to be in the air for ages, yet the defender he climbed over didn't seem to complain, perhaps he didn't notice he was supporting the weight of our Gaz.

Yet John Swift has blasted the referee's performance saying Reading were not given any decisions! None of us are without bias, and Gaz was all over their defender for his header, but that is going far too far.

Funny how few mentions of the ref yesterday because we won but again thought he was pish poor.
Think a lot did and not just on here.
I remarked to my friend in the first half how we hadn’t had one single free kick and that just does not happen.
Half time score was 6 0 in free kicks to them and 8 3 in the second half. There certainly were some ironic cheers when he did finally award us one.
Some that he waived away for us we’re quite clearly fouls and yet he seemed more than happy to blow up for them given the first opportunity.

He certainly brought the worse out of me the longer the game went on and for that I would like to apologise for the eventual language( sic) I could no longer contain which I directed in his direction to those sitting close by.

I was reading the Reading board posts, and they thought it was the defender's fault for making a back, making no initial attempt to get off the ground and then made no complaint. As such, Gaz being all over him was legitimate.

I must admit it was one of those goals where I looked straight at the ref & lino, then thought well ok we'll have it then. 😃

We're not alone in our criticism of the officials. Here's a quote from the Stoke fans forum - "Another ref as useful as a nuns **." Succinct or what?

He should have been wearing a reading shirt.
Some awful decision, and non-decisions in Readings favour.
Worst Ref so far this season.
Worst ref in terms of lack of ability, but the worst one we’ve ever had I think is still the guy v Bournemouth.
Russian owner, Met Police ref… no comment.

Yup - 14-3 on the foul count and it wasn’t a dirty game. The only yellow wasn’t for any of them. The lino in front of the West was pathetic. Twice (one corner/goal kick, one throw-in) he and the ref looked at each other for 5 seconds, waiting for the other to Decide which way they should be given. Ref 25 yards away, lino 5. And he got both of them wrong …
