Poor poor poor

We might as well accept relegation now. The majority of players are League One standard. Ekpiteta and Thompson wouldn’t have made a difference tonight. We have been hit and hope in the transfer market and this is the result. There are no leaders out there and the players are soft as shite.

We are gradually moving towards the bottom 3 and that is where we will stay. I’ve never been more certain. Anyone who knows football will know that team is nowhere near good enough.

The players are all lightweights and strolling around the pitch getting knocked off the ball. Their goal was a great strike but the midfield were all over the place chasing shadows. Weak as piss and no leaders.

What’s the point playing Patino so deep. Zero impact playing pretty passes from there and offers nothing defensively.

Basic defending from a corner and no one attacking the ball.

Hull should have won by more tonight. Completely embarrassed us and showed us our true level. One or two players coming back from injury/suspension won’t help us to get to a level where we need to be.

Did u see sheff utd?
We caught Sheff Utd on a good day. The odd heroic performance won’t save us. We need to be winning more home games especially against the likes of Hull. The effort the players put in is never questioned and they will always fight. It’s just 9 times out of 10 quality will always shine through which is why we are heading towards the drop zone.

Jeez we just need paulco on this thread.. come on paulco.

Not disputing it was poor.. I think worst this season but sat can and will be totally different. If not then let's continue this thread..

Yep Patino was giving the ball away and far too casual, Wright trying little flicks.

It was all very weak.

A team going down well before the season finishes doesn’t beat Watford and draw with sheff u and Burnley all fancied for promotion.
This is the Championship so we will always get the odd result. On average though there have been too many performances like tonight. You can just sense it. Call it an instinct I don’t know.

As a fellow Lytham Pool fan, I expect better. You can sense it. The atmosphere, the manager fan relationship, the performances on the pitch. Seen it all before and screams relegation.
Another lytham pool fan here 😂 I must say though I disagree, we’ve lost tonight granted and we will continue to lose games. But so will everyone else around us, I don’t understand how the mood changes so suddenly after one bad result? We were all quite boyed after saturdays efforts what’s changed? The team will not perform that badly on Saturday I guarantee it. We will beat the nobbers!!!

You really think we will go down well before the end of the season ?
Without a shadow of a doubt. That team tonight wouldn’t even be flying high in League One. How many games in and I still don’t know what that midfield is about. Yates as a winger and Madine as a lone striker? It’s a shambles.

We'll have shit nights like tonight and then we'll have performances like Saturday, the manager hasn't been in the job for half a season, things take time, like it did with the previous incumbent.

After Critchley fucked off I really couldn't care less about manager/fan relations, it's all a load of bollocks.

Things do take time but you’d like to see some improvement. Tonight was back to Millwall, Rotherham, Stoke and I think that’s the norm rather than the odd good performance against Burnley and Sheff Utd. 2 points won’t really help. Getting dicked by the likes of Rotherham and Hull though will be telling come the end of the season.

I don’t get our direction or see how things can better. Yates as a winger (granted scoring), Madine as a lone striker, the weak as piss midfield with Patino offering nothing playing so deep. Could go on but the signs are worrying for me.

Improvement isn't a straight line though, they'll be ups and downs, did you think the same on Saturday?

Genuine question as you only seem to post when we play badly these days.

If we have a run of games as poor as this I'll agree with you, but I don't think we will.

Not saying I agree it screams it, but there's certainly some concerning signs, the appointment killed a lot of the positivity for many and thats a big weapon for us, so a blunder by the board really even if Appleton is good or might be good. Feelgood factor is a big thing, underestimated seemingly. OK it can come back, but that needs Appleton to do well, he hasn't.

Doesn't help that we've had a load of injures, young inexperienced squad, look weak in defence, a summer of many missed targets in some key positions.

When you're one of the weaker squads and missing key players, then you arent also performing well, it's not great.

Yet if we play like Saturday we can do well, we played with 9 men, in part due to our own daftness, but we're tired and devoid tonight, too many not played a lot or much together, missing key players, lacklustre.

We look far better with Bridcutt, Ekipteta, Thompson (for all his mistakes) over Garbutt, but tbf he's only just back and not played much.

We can and will be far better than tonight. But also we are weak in midfield, far too casual at times, poor defensive clearances straight back to them.

Yeah its happened a bit too much this type of performance, we can blame injuries and its not ideal but also its just not been good enough far too often.

Bridcutt clearly isn't fully fit yet which is why we started with that three in midfield.

Connolly, Patino, Wright all had their worst games of the season. Williams and Husband aren't match fit and Garbutt played like someone who hasn't started since May.

With Ekpiteta, Bridcutt and Thompson to return on Saturday we should be a lot stronger.

Sheff Utd could have been 3-0 up but hit the bar. We managed to score and get on top. It was a very one off type game.

If we beat Preston on Saturday I promise to post and say Appleton is my hero.

Might have known Hertford would like this nonsense🙁very sad that people that don’t go gave a platform 🙁

And my aunt could be my uncle, we bossed it for long long periods and we were robbed by the referee.

How about the Watford game? We played it perfectly, soaked it up, let them pass it around and then hit them hard?

dont worry.Everything for a reason.Them nobbers are getting battered all over the park on Saturday and tonight will give the players the kick up the arse to do it.

Even Lytham Juniors could beat Watford the way they are going with Bilic.

At least we’ll have two extra players although am not sure that will help us up front where we looked utterly clueless.

I think after last night Madine will be out on Saturday which only leaves us with Jerry as a striker 😩😩😩 hope I’m wrong.

Some OTT posts on here .

Last night bad performance granted .

However previous 3 games good performances Norwich Watford Sheff Utd.

Sheff Utd took a lot out of the players physically and mentally .

You could see it we were sluggish last night we didn’t have any zip the passing was poor .

Sheff Utd players too were suffering. They lost last night to Coventry bottom of the league .

It’s one bad performance in 4 . We are not dead and buried .

I back MA to sort this for Saturday and we will go on to smash the nobbers

UTMP

Lot of piss and wind on this post but it's all about opinions do eill toss my own in
I have said from day one this season we will be hovering sound the bottom 6 for the season

Last night we were crap, particularly second half against a poor championship side

Saturday will be different but we need some bite in midfield- I can see a turgid 0-0 but hoping for a restorative 3-1

I think we will survive but prepare for a dogfight but confident we will fo it,just.

We wouldn’t be BFC if we didn’t end up in some sort of battle whether promotion or relegation
