Posyt Office Strikes.

So far this winter, I haven't received one birthday card by post even though my Birthday was 8 days ago, and we have received two Christmas Cards by post. Goodness knows if any of the cards we have sent have arrived, so I have decided that next year I will not be sending any Christmas cards except by internet, and will make a donation to a charity whom we normally buy our cards from. Ba Humbug.

Similar story here Curry.
Yesterday they published photos of the large Warrington RM sorting office. The piles of undelivered mail were huge, and I suspect much of it will never be received.
This ongoing strike will put another nail in the coffin of the RM, who are already losing £1m a day - no business can sustain that size of loss for long!

Have you wondered if it's just that nobody likes you anymore? (Only kidding Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas).

That’s going to be one of the damaging legacies from this Postie Strike, with the cost of stamps set to rise again people will be sending more and more Xmas messages electronically.

Letter from Bank sent out for me to sign beginning of November two weeks later they sent out another both never came.

So four weeks later the bank payed for special delivery and got in next day what a crap service.

My birthday was 6 days ago and I also never received a single card through the post. And quite frankly I don't give a fcuk let alone start a thread about it like a spoilt child.

How about having a little solidarity with our underpaid post office workers rather than whining about me me me?

To be fair I sent 13 parcels yesterday , special delivery next day guaranteed, and so far all but one has been delivered today

We’ve loads of cards not arrived too. I more pissed off at the fact I ordered my daughter a ring ( not cheap) on the 4th November and because I was having it engraved they said 8 days for delivery thank fuck I paid via PayPal as to this day I still haven’t received my item. I contacted the company many times via email and only had one response back in November saying sorry your gift is late should have it by end November. I gave them till the 9th December then contacted PayPal who has contacted the company and believe it or not PayPal said on the 9th we have to give them another 29 days which takes us to the 8/9th January which is then over 2 months so I’ve had to spend more money on another present to make up for the one my daughter isn’t going to get
I’m also waiting on another three packages since the 10th December. I’ve given up bothering now. Waste a time

It was my birthday last week and I told my relatives in Blackpool not to bother sending a card because of the postal strike, no big deal. I'll do likewise when it's their birthdays even if their is no postal strike!

I don't think you understand, he didn't get any Birthday cards.

Out of all the many monumental fuck ups this Government have made during their tenure privatising the Royal mail is right up there.

It's been a shambolic story of greed from start to finish.

They are not losing money!
They made 3 million last year!
Ask the shareholders.
Thompson wants to lower wages as he thinks the postmen are overpaid, and he wants to change all the contracts of employment that they have to include zero hour contracts and compulsory working on Sundays plus many other changes.

They're telling misleading lies by saying they're losing £1m a day and they've repeated this several times.
My posties work hard and are professional, they're quite right when they say their bosses our out of touch & earning too much money.
I hope to receive some post today, as it's the final post before Christmas.

And they’re probably arguing that they’re just trying to “modernise” the contracts. The implication being that if you object then you’re a dinosaur and luddite, and standing in the way of progress.

The truth, of course, is that they’re trying to take employees back to a time before they had all their hard won rights.

Eureka, today I received Two more Birthday cards, one posted on the 9th December in Blackpool, the other in Edinburgh one day later. Plus as a bonus we have received a number of Xmas cards, one wrongly posted. 😟

Ordered a new alarm clock (old one Kaput) through Amazon yesterday.
It arrived at 13.45 today.
Good timing you might say. 😉

Royal Mail will be dismantled over the next few years with mass redundancies, understandably they're going down the parcel delivery route as there's more money in it.

Christmas cards are a thing of the past, 5 years ago we decided to stop sending them as we were spending nearly 30 quid a year sending them to people we see or have contact with via whatsapp/social media. Instead of sending cards every year we've bought 30 quids worth of shopping and donated it to the local food bank appeal.

Those brown envelopes made it through with no problem. HMRC, local rozzers and council. All arrived with no delay whatsoever

I cannot wait for society to break down completely now. Even mass anarchy and militia gangs would be one step up from this Elitist shite being sprinkled from on high.

I’m going to practice whittling arrows and a composite bow ready for hunting down prey as I spring from my rapidly constructed survival shelter.

Well, I suppose the posties get fed one way or another.
