Preston away

I think it must be you lot that are stupid given how much you go on about atmosphere yet don’t win anything for that. BTW does the atmosphere you go on about include all the chants of ‘Appleton out’ and ‘McCarthy out’ along with all those big ‘Boos’ at the end of those many losses this season?
You on about our atmosphere again...

Well we ALL know who are going to look like the April Fools on Sky......
That fat, bald 50 year old with a flag and a balloon in his hand celebrating f##k all.......
5 minutes after, it will be the usual atmosphere

Comedy gold. Preston is known for being on the way to Blackpool and somewhere to avoid hence the many bypasses built around the place.

As for known for its football team...only you think the 19th century is remembered. As you've probably noticed, according to the media, football only started in 1992, and you've literally done nothing in that era.
And I thought you were better than that.

Personally I don't get the mocking of you not selling out as your stadium is bigger and you get more attending currently.

Only thing I've pointed out when nobbers are bragging is the circumstances this season weren't the same, price etc and we've had an awful season, which is fair to point out.

I don’t think either club should mock one another’s attendance as I’ve said on here numerous times. Both are poor.

Personally, I think we’d sell more season tickets than you even if prices etc were the same.

Our season has been awful from a home supporters point of view. The vast majority of performances have been absolutely terrible.
If we’d have had even an average campaign at Deepdale we’d possibly be pushing for an automatic place.

Well we sold more than you last season at a bit cheaper a price, but made significantly more money than you overall.

This season we sold over 8k with Appleton.... more than the promotion buzz season.

You did your very cheap deal and created a good viral marketing campaign and feelgood factor, leaflets etc.

Without that and at our prices, I doubt you'd have got much more than us, recent history of sales doesn't suggest so.

We wouldn't have got 12k at your prices because our casual element is not tapped into anywhere near the same. But obviously would get more than the 8k, over 10k for sure if they did that deal and appointed anyone but Appleton creating a buzz. That's what's annoying, our club hasn't yet tested how many would buy with a cheap price and creating a buzz.

As I've always said, being in the lower leagues for ages and things like the boycott damaged the club, will take years and lots of big games like cup games to help attract new and lapsed fans and grow the fanbase.

That's what we've missed out on.

Yep, but luckily people buying ST didn't know that at the time, otherwise some may have thought twice.

Be interesting to see what happens next season as seems some won't renew and if prices go up too...

There have been no McCarthy Out chants.

There haven't been that many boos directed at the team either. Mainly officials.

Another attendance nonce. Euh.

We are very close to having more season tickets sold than your average attendance (we may even have more) but yeah, go ahead peddling your weird agenda.
About 2k seats left from a capacity of over 20k, so way more tickets gone than you could hope to even fit in Bloomfield (and let's remember you didn't sell your poxy home allocation in October).

As you well know, there are plenty of "visitors" to each site, and it's often quite good fun and amicable. I notice you have no response to what I actually posted though...
Thats because its getting boring, as visitors we are not allowed to post on an insular site like yours .

Not read anything yet about us getting locked in the ground then kettled outside after the game this Saturday. I wonder if we will be allowed out at the normal time this year.

No, we're banned with very few exceptions.

Quite interesting from their knobbers forum.

Pre Match -

The Police are aware of a particular establishment in which away supporters intend to go to pre game, alongside the usual Vic & Station for those traveling by train.
Public Houses that wish to open can do so as normal on the basis they have plastic pots and suitable staff on the doors - It would be up to them who they let in however, other than those previously mentioned none intend on allowing any visiting supporters.

The policing operation around certain areas of Preston will be extensive and particularly for any fans who are required an "escort" to the ground. Previously buses
have been used to take the visitors to Deepdale but no company would be willing to do so on this occasion.

Alcohol will be served on all concourses as soon as the turnstiles open

The away supporters will once again be housed in a 'zone' with ticket checks and entry only from the A5085. All three entrances to the away 'zone' will have additional metal barriers as well as Police with "neutral zones" between them also. The additional barriers are due to a number of incidents last season in which fans from both sides managed to negate the provisions in place.

Half Time
Alcohol will be available in all areas except the Bill Shankly Kop where none will be served for either home or away fans.
We did question why home fans where included in this ban but it was explained that this was following incidents last season from both sets of fans following half time.

Full Time

Due to human rights laws the Police are unable to pre-plan a "lock in" for visiting supporters - however should the need arise for operational or safety reasons visiting fans will be held back for a period after the game whilst the home supporters disperse. Following feedback last season they would however be able to leave the stadium and wait in the visitors 'zone' until it is safe for them to leave the area.

No home supporters will have access to the area of Lowthorpe Road/Bill Shankly Crescent at any point on Saturday.

As reported on here last season there was a few issues upon visitors and North End fans "meeting" on the A5085 - this area will see a significantly higher police presence.

Hopefully other units will not be required but on hand if required - every available police officer in Lancashire is available if required.

There will be a period of time after the game in which Public Houses have been advised to show caution on their entry policy - however, none have been told to close.
