Pros and cons

Thought on the whole were much better today than lately. More spark, trying to be positive, and showing some collective bottle after conceding that ridiculous goal.We could have been blown away but we weren't.

Getting the less good bits out of the way:
- Both full backs were poor - you have to be able to rely on you full backs and defending should come first. A shocking error for the goal by Dom, and a daft early booking for Jordan put us on the back foot - their positioning was scary at times
- our final pass remains a big problem
- We still don't have a reliable striker - we keep rotating the options but we are so short of someone who turns up at the right moment in that area between the posts

The better bits:
- Callum Wright looks a player
- Charlie kept trying throughout the game to propel the ball accurately in a forwards direction
- Maxi played like he'd never been away since the promotion season - apart from a couple of dodgy clearances he was spot on
- Marv was excellent
- Thorniley did well
- on the whole the fans stayed with the team - helped by a performance from the officials that was beyond abysmal.

Thought Maxi was excellent today and it’s no coincidence that Big Marv had his best game of the season. Thorniley had a good game too but without doubt Callum Wright was excellent and reminded me very much of KDH the way he glided through the game at times effortlessly. Jerry didn’t do a great deal today but always puts a shift in but both Dom and JG know they had an off day and need to shake off their disappointment and recover as quickly as possible. In terms of the referee he was an absolute ** joke with his decisions and allowed Norwich to roll around and go down like they’d been shot.

I thought Charlie playing for the u20s hurt him a bit. Playing at that level you'll have loads of time. In the Championship he was caught in possession far too often, dwelling on the ball. He'll be better Tuesday for today.

Must admit I still thought he was stand out today. Yes he was caught a couple of times but he was always positive and in particular some of his first time touches were sublime. I might be on my own with this view it seems though!

He didn’t have one of his best games today but showed flashes of what he’s all about. Perhaps we expect too much from him in every game but thought with him and CW in midfield we looked a threat.

I don't disagree, just think he can be better.

I agree . Patino lost the ball at times too easily. However he does have some good passes in him.

No, I agree largely. He does some things so naturally that you almost don't notice he's doing them well.

His touch is exceptional.

Con for me was that they didn’t have any steak pies. Pro though, was the pasty was excellent!

I sadly don’t think we have a ‘great’ full back at the club and are missing Sterling.
