Now, this is not a pop at Royalty or the death of Prince Philip, it is very sad he has died.
However BBC, ITV, Sky etc., have been inundated with complaints about the coverage with has been described as OTT.
All BBC Radio music programs have been told to only play sad songs for 3 days and there is little else being reported, for example the BBC online site is 90% stories about Prince Philip.
Personally, I'm sorry for his death, but how have the media got the feeling of the country so wrong? 99 year old man, Duke of Edinburgh, married to the Queen. Hugely important person but surely they should realise the vast majority of the country are saddened but the length of grieving the media seem to want to impose is absolutely ridiculous! If he was still alive he would much prefer the thought of everyone rejoicing in his life and getting on with their own.
Seems OTT to me anyway.
