I've been watching the mighty for 40+ years but I can't remember ever winning at Loftus Road
At least in modern times
It just seems like a bit of a graveyard for us
Admittedly my memory isn't what it was 😆 and I'm still carrying emotional scars from the infamous
5-0 in black shirts on the hottest day of the year game
can any statto our there shed any light on a victory?

1971/72 Qpr 0 Blackpool 1. Only victory away to them. Not played them too many times, 30 games home and away including cup ties, 4 Pool wins, 15 QPR wins, 11 draws.

Loftus road used to be one of my favourite grounds but one point in four visits has put an end to that. Giving it a miss this time In the hope that we’ll win.

One of those teams like Ipswich who weren’t at our level till the 1960s but moved upwards as we moved downwards.

Of course in a parallel universe in 67/68 we pip QPR to promotion to the First Division, making an immediate return, Stan Mortensen keeps us in the top division for a few years and none of this league 3 and 4 nonsense ever happens!

Unlikely given QPR came straight back down like a stone……..

Its not just QPR ,its London in general . Plus we don't do well under floodlights ,and we haven't being doing well on the television recently. If we get anything from this game other then a defeat it will be magical .

3 visits for me . Lost 2 0 in 67/8 , lost 6 1 in 69/70 and the 0 0 draw in the Cup in 1990.

3 draws in the last 4 visits , would be happy enough if that became 4 out of 5.

We generally stink the place out in London. Surely it’s time for change.

Head and heart here. Heart says we'll get beat, head says a win based on stats etc.

Head and heart are in full agreement for Saturday and accept anything better than a 3 goal defeat would be acceptable.

the 0-0 draw in the cup in 1990 felt like a win in all honesty. they were a very good side at the time. seaman played a blinder, i recall. they also had some v good players - paul parker, roy wegerle, andy sinton etc. plus an ageing butch wilkins and kenny sansom. and david bardsley of course.

I have never seen us win there;

Went to the two cup games in 1990 0-0, 1-0 QPR
Went to a 1-1 or 2-2 draw in about 2013, I remember Barkhuisan missing a great chance at the end - it may have been under Ince
And last season where we were deservedly beaten and James somehow stayed on the pitch after chopping down a QPR player who subsequently got sent off for a head butt.

I am going tomorrow

Lost last season when we should have won, but prior to that there have been a few 1 1 draws.

We were saying similar last season about not winning at Brammall Lane since the seventies, and at Reading since 1980. I really hope we get a win, I 'm pleased that we've got a couple of away matches after witnessing the boos on Saturday.

Hopefully the players will respond without the added pressure of the home crowd (didn't think I'd be typing that sentence about us after 3 games). Away fans are generally more supportive, never stopped supporting the team at Stoke, and the first half there was just as bad if not worse.

Edit, Patino to start please.

I've seen QPR lose at Loftus road when they had a plastic pitch back in the 80's unfortunately it wasn't against us.😁

Wasn't 1990, nil nil then 3 nil.

Well said. Went to Bramall Lane and Reading last season, thoroughly enjoyed both those day, here’s to a similar one tomorro….

Assuming you put your 50 smackers on every one of our games that means you plan for committing £2,300 minimum every season. I guess we only live once, eh?
We do win occasionally - so know it’s not committing that much - I think if we lost a good few in a row at some point I would bail out though 👍

Although, c£600 up on last season so got some way to go before I worry - and we did win the first game of this season 😎

Actually I took the post down. I thought it impolite to discuss what you do with your cash.

Seaman played a blinder?, I dont think he touched the ball for 90mins,it was a heroic backs to the wall performance by us,but our goal lived a charmed life.

yep, they were definitely all over us like a cheap suit from shepherd's bush market. i'm sure i recall seaman pulling off a great save or two right in front of us - though. it was a long time ago mind, and the memory bank isn't what it was.

Even Lee and Jane are swerving this one.

Be surprised with anything tonight. They were down to 10 men and in awful form last time and still managed to beat us.

I really hope the players and manager show us what there about tonight.

When they went down to ten in the first half, we spent the rest of the game squandering our one man advantage by playing keep ball in our own half for the rest of the game. Critchley was ** hopeless that night !

I have never seen Pool win at Arsenal, West Ham,Fulham, QPR, Brentford,or Reading.

I have seen them win at Spurs ,Palace , Chelsea , Watford and Orient.

London is grim

I never saw us win at Reading until last season, nearly fucked it off at half time. Glad I didn't.
