Queen consort

Must admit that I did wonder why Camilla is 'Queen Consort'.
Possibly to do with being divorced.
However, that never stopped Henry V!!!.

Constitutionally, Queen Consort is a step removed from being a Queen. It's like Albert was to Victoria.

Prevents a takeover in the event of Charles becoming incapacitated, as she wouldn't become Regent, whereas a Queen would.

Great knowledge. Someone paid attention in History lessons!!

According to reports, Camilla is apparently going to be anointed with holy oil and crowned alongside Charlie in the Coronation ceremony. That’s what will make her a Queen rather than just Queen Consort in the fairytale land of the CofE. She will enter the Abbey as Queen Consort and depart as Queen.

That’s never happened before in 1000+ years with a previously divorced wife. If she and Charlie are insisting on that, Harry was probably right about her.

Where a monarch has blood heirs above the age of majority, the Regent would usually be the first in line, should the monarch be incapacitated, i.e. William. It’s only if the monarch is under the age of majority that another blood relative would be chosen, in the past usually an uncle.

For temporary accomplishment of the monarch’s duties, there are 4 or more Counsellors of State, again usually the next four in line of succession as long as they are over 21 as well as the monarch’s consort. So currently that would seem to imply a choice of William, Harry, Andrew (and his kids) then much later Edward and Anne. Obviously two are problematical, but they are there.

The current Counsellors of State are The Queen Consort, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Sussex, The Duke of York and Princess Beatrice. But I don’t think there are any circumstances in which Camilla would become Regent, no matter what her status.
