Quiet away fans dampen the atmosphere.

Thought they were the quietest away fans I can recall. I know we have to create our own atmosphere, but it’s difficult to maintain that when there’s absolutely no banter between sets of supporters. The tempo of the game in the second half matched the atmosphere.

Think it will be like this for the majority of the season. Expectation levels and very difficult to create the same buzz that was around when Critchley first got us promoted.

Welcome to league 1, most fans will linger around these numbers, part of the huge gulf in income will be away fans, most champ clubs would sell out first away of season, Blackpool.

their fans were shocking but tbh our fans weren't much better. It was like a morgue for the last hour of the game. Not helped by what was or wasn't happening on the pitch.

The red flag was over 3/4 were sat down at an away game.

I bet the SLO was looking over in awe at their designated seating section 🤤

Should put them all in the North East then there would be banter between fans.
Contrary to what some fans think when we've sold out the whole of the East the atmosphere is better for home and away fans.

I am staggered it was 812 .. looked about 400!!
Anyone know the crowd last season against Reading because the home sections didn't look any less full?
