Radio Silence continues ...

My vibe is that this links to the Sporting Director thing. Sheff Wed logistics agreed but no announcement until their season ends which is now the Play Off final - but effectively he can work for us - therefore he has ‘signed off’ any manager thang… further vibe is it is Debbie and as such he/they are ‘getting on with stuff’ hence the released list etc.

In short, it may well be all in place save announcing which is good manners/courtesy to Sheffield?
You may be right about the Sheff Wednesday

I think Debbie however is staying in Dallas 🤣

In the Championship, Reading still have a caretaker in charge, Huddersfield have no-one at all, only Watford have appointed a permanent manager since March 7, which was also the day they appointed their last permanent manager.

In League 1, MK are without a manager, Port Vale have a caretaker only, and the last permanent appointment was Oxford on March 12.

You can see a similar picture in previous seasons as well.

Last season, the PL ended a couple of days ago, the FA Cup final was the week before, and only Liverpool had the Champions League to worry about next weekend, this year the PL ends next weekend, the FA Cup isn't for another 2 weeks and the Champions League is 3 weeks away.

Thanks to the WC, this season is dragging on longer than normal, a number of potential candidates are likely either involved with their PL sides, or possibly the play-offs, and the club perhaps can't even approach, let alone announce, some of them until their season is over.

So I think the reality is that clubs at this level don't tend to appoint permanent managers in April or May, and there's really nothing more the club can say than that.
But i was talking about communication, not appointments.

Are some people actually expecting the club to announce every day.
'We have not yet appointed our next Manager, more news tomorrow.''. 🙁
Of course not, but a bit of an update every so often wouldn't go amiss. We get nothing, nack-all, nada!

You shall have to wait until the white smoke goes up and Nick Pope will be announced as player manager. As well as playing as goalkeeper, he shall be captain and shout out instructions on the pitch. Cost effective solution for L1.

"An in-depth interview with both Simon Sadler and Neil Critchley will be available on Tangerine TV later this evening."
