In nearly 50 years of going I've never been a pre seasoner, for a variety of reasons.
Changed that deliberately last year as I was free to go to SQG, it was a game to help them financially and a chance to see our youth players at last, which I'd been promised myself for a while.
In years gone by I wouldn't have gone yesterday, but glad I did. Not an ounce of trouble in the ground, hope that carried on in the night.
Must have been at least 6k in the areas allocated to them, with a few hundred more buying into home areas. Ithink 6.5k is on the conservative side, but that's £100k if so. Gawd knows what the benefit to the town economy must have been - food, drink places must have taken a week or mores worth over the weekend alone.
The Ultras thing raised a smile, but good on them for caring.
