What can you say other than Critchley and players got what they deserved both today and for the season. If we'd signed a decent forward instead of the absolutely useless Joseph then we might have made the top 6.

The story of our season today, promise so much and deliver so little. I said it earlier, it was a long shot for us to get in the play off spots, and even though the stars aligned (to an extent) we just weren't good or brave enough.

Far too many bang average players in the squad, an overly cautious, uninspiring manager and stupid tactics have cost us this season.

We pretty much averaged 1.5 points a game all season and finished where we deserved to.

We will have a weaker squad next season and with Critch;ey's tactics and the 2 idiots alongside him we will be in the bottom half of League 1 and are more likely to be fighting relegation than promotion.

I disagree but we all have our views, i just think we will come back stronger next year, certain things haven't gone right this season but in the end we weren't good enough, that falls on everybody both manager and players but learn from it and come back stronger

A great League 1 goalie who's poss' saved us 10 points... but, fell at the final hurdle. (not blaming him btw as no one truly shone today)
And before any nobhead quotes a crap formation... I totally agree, Critch fucked it right up BUT he's always been here for next season, cos the ONLY person that can change that has confirmed he won't.
So, let's see if SS will spend even more money, but on a few decent QUALITY first team ready players... regardless of all the above... I'll see you all next season.

Great start. Needed to kick on and sew it up. Didn’t or couldn’t.
Needed to get that one nil lead into half time, couldn’t due to bad marking, and we were then in danger.
Reading took over. Poor defending and questionable refereeing didn’t help.
At three one down it was over. Lots of huffing and puffing but no real threat, ragged a second.

I think I would be feeling happier if Northampton hadn’t equalised TBH.
