Red card overturned.

It was an appalling decision, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Jordan’s exemplary disciplinary record played a part I the decision to overturn . It would have been an absolute disgrace to tarnish that record with such a poor decision.

As far as w the Club is concerned, it very likely cost us a win and may well be the difference between us edging into the Play Off’s or not…. The ref is clearly not up to the required standard…

Common sense prevails but why is that clown who was in charge on Saturday not dragged before the disciplinary committee and forced to explain as to why he gave possibly the most bizarre red card in footballing history. No way should be get away with what he did totally Scot free. Portsmouth were there for the taking and he single handily cost the pool two extra points

Never! That match was there for the taking with 11men.

I sit in the west and the incident was right in front of me, a terrible decision and the ref wouldn’t speak to our captain at all!
He needs to be sent back to non league football!
On more than one occasion he refused to speak to Norburn

Referees never have to answer for their mistakes.

That was the nearest to out and out bias since Peter ** Walton.

Wow. Whatever case we put forward, however graciously Jordan Rhodes accepted the decision, I was still expecting it to be changed to a four game ban and a club/player fine for appealing.

It was clear the referee had no control of that game and anything goes. He got in a mega flap at the start of the second half with everyone on his case. It happens but it had a real feel of the geography teacher being called into take PE at short notice.

While they're there, Rafferty, the ex Nobber might want to explain his simulation involving 4 complete revolutions after being well enough to grab Rhodes' leg when he looked like he was getting away.

The Pompey player and bench need to hang their heads in shame …..cheating is rewarded in the game …the pampered premier league so called stars have a lot to answer for😳
That is exactly what should happen and continue to happen. Review footage - if they believe the player cheated to gain an advantage then red card transfers from Rhodes to the cretin.

3 match ban for being a cheat. Extended by 1 more for being an ex Nobber bellend.

They were all still pissed from the weekend and Monday looks like a good day to catch those fuckers at the FA off guard.

Brilliant news but makes it all the more frustrating that he was sent off in the first place.

Rhodes hattrick incoming tomorrow night now as vengeance 🤞

The decision is a proper one and the conspiracy theorists on here can finally admit they were wrong and just shut up, although they probably won't. My fear was that there might not be enough evidence particularly from technology to overturn but common sense and justice appear to have prevailed. Now we have two relatively fresh players up front (Rhodes and Joseph) who could do some damage tomorrow. A win would properly vindicate and may actually kick start a GENUINE push for the play offs. We need some consistency now to enable that to happen.

Or cost us 2 points on Saturday..
Bigger picture. We may have got 2 extra, may not, who knows, but equally we could have reverted to the Jekyll and Hyde team next game. This I think could work to our advantage if used right.

I expected a draw tomorrow. I expect a fully focused Pool to win now.

The red card has been rescinded, but I'll still be sending my strongly worded complaint to the PGMOL about that ref.
I just need to take out all the swear words.

Probably down to the duffers at the FA being clueless.
You can imagine it
THE PANEL
Next Case - Jordan Rhodes RED card

Duffer 1: "Oh, he's a decent chap, model professional. Over 700 games, played for Blackburn Rovers (founders of our glorious league), formerly of Middlesbrough (formerly known as the marvellously named Middlesbrough Ironopolis). Now a Huddersfield Town player."

Duffer 2, "Well, my dog is a terrier, the nickname of Huddersfield don't you know old chap. So taking that into account, let's go easy on the lad. I always thought he was good enough to play for England."

Add Duffer 3 etc

Maybe. Who knows?

Portsmouthy were very happy not to lose, that was their standpoint. Had we scored with 11 I think they would have upped it a bit.

Sometimes, something totally unexpected can add a spark that would have never been there. I think the red card being rescinded could be that and if it is the 2 points lost or otherwise maybe there will be a boost that will lead to a reaction for the rest of the season.

Let's hope so.

100 per cent . He is a veteran of the EFL . They know him well. He isn’t that type of player . He’s a model pro an example to others .

It’s possible the ref has subsequently held his hands up and admitted he got it wrong . Doubt it .

They had to really, it was so so obviously not a red, all the different match reports said it was very harsh too. Many social media sites had posted about him getting sent off for this challenge and showing it.

Also, whatever we think about past decisions, this was even more clearcut to me, so maybe they just assessed it fairly.

We don't know who does it each time.

Main thing is it's good it has been, but doesn't help us for that game where I'd fancy us to win with 11.

The Portsmouth player rolling over and over should be ashamed ☹️
When the panel look at the red and overturn it due to the evidence viewed, they should have the power to punish the cheating player rolling about like a tvvat.
He should get a red card and a 3 match ban IMO. How else will you stop this embarrassing cheating.
Man ure’s Fernandez is the player who gets the Oscar for constant embarrassing theatrics.
When other players see players at top Prem clubs getting away with it most of the time, then that’s good enough reason for them to do the same. I fukin hate it!
