Sounds like he could have been picked up to play further up the pitch. Critch has said in the past he likes versatile players, definitely was the case with Mitchell last season!

Speaks very well, I do think we look more closely at the character of the players than we perhaps used to. Hope he does the business.
Very good point, we definitely do and I think it's a big part of what the team look for. I remember Critch towards the end of the season would refer to the players as men, not boys or lads, and I always got the sense that it was a very deliberate choice of words to show what he thought of/looked for in their character.

The only thing I'd swap with Doncaster is their ground. Quirk it up a bit in tangerine and make it higher at both ends and it's what Bloomfield Road could have been like if it was actually built for football fans. But I don't think they even own it?
For Reece James, quite excited by this as a first one in tbf. Going up a league already feels like it's increased the chances of landing target A rather than target B on whatever plans they've drawn up.
Nobody linked us to him, nobody spoke about him but they're obviously looking around for solid lads with time on their side who can do a job wherever asked and give us value over the next few years. Cut down on the scattergun signings, keep a core of talent and focus on what is needed to improve. A lot calmer.

Wonder what all the lads in Portugal are thinking seeing we've signed a player, can imagine them sat round the table having breakfast feeling a bit rough seeing the announcement

I mean all us Football Fans are delusional when it comes to our own club, but they’ve literally never won anything ever...
Our trophy cabinet is nearly as big as their ** stadium!!
