Remember when...

We changed our tactics and team to adapt to Stevenage. Let that sink in. That's how much we have sunk as a football club.
But should we not have changed our tactics in order to 'counter' Stevenage's approach, rather than 'adapt' to it?

Did it really require such a stroke of managerial genious for Critch to have devised an alternative gameplan to the one we were all treated to yesterday? 'Tactically bankrupt' is, I think, the phrase I would have used to describe our utterly bizarre attempt to - and I quote - "adapt to Stevenage".

To “expect” something in a game with so many variables is where a lot of the problems start.

We certainly aren’t the first bunch of billy big bollocks types to come down to L1 with the “We should be beating the likes of….” attitude and won’t be the last.

Nothing unexpected this season has happened as far as I can see. It would have been much better if we’d been more consistent so far and picked up a few more wins away from home…. Hopefully the addition of Byers will have a positive impact and we’ll continue to improve. 👍

He does over think it away from home, the club should pay for Derren Brown to convince him that every game is at home. Although fisting the home end might cause issues...

So then you get into the debate about should you stick to your principles, play your formation, your tactics, to your strengths and let the opposition worry about you?
Do it the other way and you get called a "tinkerman" (which Critch MK1 was btw).
I don't know the answer but I do agree with the point of view that Critch MK2 isnt particularly good at in-game management.
