Remembrance Weekend

Anybody disrespecting those who died for our country and our freedoms need to be held accountable.
That’s not pro Palestinian peace protest behaviour, it’s a bloody disgrace.

I will be ashamed of us as a nation if Remembrance Day and the memory of all the brave veterans who fought for us are trashed this weekend.

People, behave yourseves.

That’s the issue a lot of people who have migrated here recently don’t care about our values our history and our way of life.

We’re gonna have serious serious issues down the line.

Looks like it could get lively this weekend in London, some of the recent scenes in the capital disgust me and are a slap in the face to every soldier who gave his life for this country.

Attacking elderly poppy sellers, policemen, people waving the Union Jack, desecrating war memorials?

Imagine trying that on in any of these countries in the Middle East?

Our Capital
This protest march shouldn’t be going ahead this particular weekend it’s just plain madness.

The police and Mark Rowley in particular will have a lot to answer for if it turns ugly and it will I’ve no doubt at all.

It’s been bubbling and stirring around for quite some time now and the majority of the British public have had enough of the way our history and values are being trashed. Our soft bellied approach by the government and police makes us a laughing stock.

I would ask you to bear in mind that hundreds of thousands will march peacefully, concentrating their efforts on protesting at the ongoing killing of civilians in this conflict. Please do not aim your rage at these people if some in the crowds intend to be disruptive.

The trouble is Lala we are losing our identity has a nation, my father rarely spoke about the War but he said it was his duty if needed to pay the ultimate price.

It's very sad to see some people desecrating that , but I will stand proud today pay my respects and wear my poppy with pride.🇬

Let’s be clear here if anyone going on this march don’t have ‘peaceful intentions’ they shouldn't be turning up full stop.

But we all know it’s not going to happen is it? So many people marching in one group will have trouble makers it’s the human way of doing things hiding behind others.

I would ask you to bear in mind that within the hundreds of thousands of immigrants both legal and illegal who come to this country some have no intention of integrating peacefully in this country, concentrating their efforts on undermining everything that this country stands for.
Please don't aim your rage at the people of this country who are now voicing their opinions because they've now had enough.

Yep lock them up and....

Oh wait jails are full.

We have zero deterrent for anything here and don't defend our values.

So instead of agreeing with my statement you turn the focus back on 'trouble makers'. Why? Because you want them to be the focus for your rage, rather than applauding those who want to to protest peacefully.

So you aren't interested in people marching at all. You want us all to use the subject of Remembrance to focus on something completely different. Is that a new posting style?...When we're all posting this afternoon about Carey's value as a free-floating No.10, you're going to chip in with a reminder that immigrants have no intention of integrating into our society? Well, it's different, I'll give you that.

And as usual you've taken the post in the wrong way.
I'm not surprised in the slightest. 👍🏻

The march going ahead is all down to the far right Home Secretary Suella Braverman from the Conservative party. She has the power to veto it therefore should be the sole focus if anything untowards happens today. End of.

That’s the issue a lot of people who have migrated here recently don’t care about our values our history and our way of life.

Some may say that freedom of speech and the right to protest are intrinsic democratic "values" that have come from our "history".

Yet you appear not to to subscribe to such values as you wish to deny them to others.

Which is exactly what you are accusing the "migrants" of....

The march should be peaceful. The huge majority of those marching will adhere to this.

Those who don't will be arrested.

The biggest problem will come from the far right racists and football groups, who'll buzz around Yaxley-Lennon, like flies around shit, and go looking for fights. They'll wrap themselves in Union Jacks and Flags of St George, and say they are "defending their country"

I’ve said time and time again this march shouldn’t be going ahead on remembrance weekend in my opinion.

My apologies but I can’t say it any other way.

Anyone who wants peace should be applauded, quite right.
Unfortunately you'll get some that sneak in under that cloak and cause bother.
You alluded in another of my posts that whilst the football is going on this afternoon I'll still be chipping away at immigrants.
Well this afternoons march and Bolton / Blackpool tie in quite well with my analogy.
Whilst the majority want both of these events to go ahead peacefully, you just know that there will be trouble along the way.

why not? That's the whole purpose of why people on here and everywhere else saying the march shouldn't take place this weekend. A peaceful march which has some people in it being disruptive is not a peaceful march. It's as simple as that.

So following the logic of your final paragraph either both should be allowed to go ahead or both should be banned.

And wouldn’t a ban be surrendering to the trouble makers?

Anyway I’ve broken my match day rule and posted politics so I’ll stop now.

Bunch of right wing thugs descended into the Cenotaph breaking through police lines. Crickets.

Everywhere else?

EDL Weekly, and the Yaxley-Lennon Bugle?

So a bunch of idiots break through police lines and start fighting, trampling through Whitehall trying to reach the Cenotaph and nobody gives a shit cause they are right wing and white. Where are the calls for the army to step in and shoot them? Where are the posts saying we need to reclaim Britain?

It's almost as if its not about remembrance and respect for our war dead at all. It's using them as tools for political point scoring. I'm sick of it. Blatant hypocrisy and I never want to read emotional posts about how people don't have respect for our past ever again if this is how little people care when it's white people doing it.

People who have migrated here recently!!!!!!!!!!

What, the Vikings, Saxons, Jewish refugees from Spain, Huguenots, Irish, Jews fleeing Hitler, West Indians, Africans, Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Iranians, Iraqis, Syrians, Afghanis, Hong Kong Chinese?

Where is your line?

so you are advocating they be shot. That's pretty extreme.

By that infinitesimal stretch of logic it follows that all attendees at a football match are to be condemned because some yobs might kick off.

think it's your stretch of logic so don't be silly. Football takes place every weekend with far smaller crowds and has done for hundreds of years. This march is a significant event with different consequences really.

The main body of the pro-Palestinian march went off peacefully and the demonstrators should be praised for that. The trouble-makers were the usual extremist factions: the far-right, English nationalist hoodlums who aren't interested in anything except hooliganism, and the pro-Hamas mob who hid amongst the marchers before moving off on their own to let off fireworks.

Why is his line?

I get the wish for a ceasefire and the abhorrent loss of innocent lives but surely it applies to both sides in the conflict. The waving of Palestinian flags and the chant of ‘from the river to the sea..’ seems to me oversimplifying the problem and directly attacking Israel.

Surely seeking both sides to be blamed is the most sensible narrative here but it feels like many are not seeing the bigger picture.

Just so nice and relaxing to watch the pictures live this morning at the cenotaph the military bands playing solum music and everyone showing their humble respects to our glorious dead of all wars. ❤️

All this and not a single protester of any sort in sight finally some respect to our fallen hero’s. 👍

yep, i was out to watch my lads team play football and the two minute silence was of course immaculately observed. That's what this weekend should have been ALL about. Nothing else.
