Rescheduled games due to covid postponements

Not sure if anything official has been mentioned on this but when the games postponed due to covid in the weeks leading up to Christmas are rescheduled, should the Clubs affected be allowed to include players signed in the January window who wouldn't have been available to them at the time of the postponement?
If so it would seem a bit unfair on Clubs like Blackpool who made every effort to complete the fixtures even though they were also affected to some degree by covid issues.

No tango it will make no difference they will be able to play whoever is in the squad at the time the game is rescheduled, stinks l know!

I don't think it's right that new signed players should be able to play but accept it would be unworkable to implement.

Say a team moves on three players in January and signs three. The three they sold would clearly be unable to play and if they couldn't choose from the new players they would be well stuffed. It would also set a precedent for other instances such as injured/banned players for postponed matches being available to play.

With so many games cancelled a couple of weeks ago, maybe all fixtures should have been cancelled.

The problem is that there are going to be more cancellations from clubs that weren't affected in December, so if you cancel all fixtures one week you're going to end up with some clubs completely stuffed when they have to cancel their fixture the next week, unless you cancel all fixtures every time there's a covid outbreak, in which case everyone's stuffed..

If you remember, Jimmy Floyd got our game called off then signed 3 players the next day.

If these games have to be played, some Clubbs will be playing Sat/ Tues most weeks until April. That is HARD !

And this is why I think us getting games in the last month has been a good thing. We'll be playing overstretched teams at some point.

It is a very good question, but as others have pointed out its swings and roundabouts. teams cannot recall players who have trasfered to other clubs on the grounds they were with them when the match was scheduled. I suppose the rules are the same for all, some get advantaged, others dont. Its just the way it is,

Given some of Pools players will be relative low mileage at the back end of the season due to injuries we should be in pole position for being fresh when it gets down to the nitty gritty not to mention space in the calendar to recover so we will face up having had 7 days with a lot having had 3 or 4.

That brings its own fatigue and injury problems. We just need a run were we get more players back than we lose and with some additions we should be in good shape for the run in.

Good point.
