I'm guessing that maybe due to trademark issues with the Umbro diamonds. More merchandise to empty my pockets though, so fair play to the marketing team.
That shirt is a thing of beauty
Long shot Sean ,best kit ever for Pool .I'm guessing that maybe due to trademark issues with the Umbro diamonds. More merchandise to empty my pockets though, so fair play to the marketing team.
Might have to wear my original Inenco shirt tomorrow.
Oh I'd love the club to sort a replica, maybe next season to celebrate our return to the Championship.Long shot Sean ,best kit ever for Pool .
I’d have thought they would need permission from the kit manufacturer to do a remake which of course wouldn’t be a problem with the Bass and Vaux shirts (MGC Sports). So it’s a surprise the inenco shirt was a chosen one (Gola).I'd guess the Umbro shirt will be difficult as none of these 'retro' remakes have the kit manufacturers on then. No point making a replica of Umbro without the diamonds.
The rank Bass shirt isn't available tomorrow
I want that shirt. It means a lot to me. Is this for real?

That would make a great away shirt for next season!I would think so

The club could make a fortune if that happens, especially if the yellowish colour was more on the tangerine sideThat would make a great away shirt for next season!
My Vaux shirt is Cavendish Sports. I think they were the same company?I’d have thought they would need permission from the kit manufacturer to do a remake which of course wouldn’t be a problem with the Bass and Vaux shirts (MGC Sports). So it’s a surprise the inenco shirt was a chosen one (Gola).
Mine is MGC and a sort of salmon colour and made with the thinnest material known to man. Pretty sure one season the away shirt was MGC and home was Cavendish? My Vaux shirt is Cavendish Sports. I think they were the same company?

My Gola shirt is EXACTLY the same. No sponsor and a lovely boulder burn in itMine is MGC and a sort of salmon colour and made with the thinnest material known to man. Pretty sure one season the away shirt was MGC and home was Cavendish?
Anyway,. the Gola shirts were MILES better, still got a sponsor free one which is boulder burned to buggery.
Love it. They did 2. The other had a shadow stripe and a touch of blue. Wish I’d kept mine!I've got one View attachment 15024
Do it as the away shirt for 2024/25, ie 110 years after the originalThat would make a great away shirt for next season!
There are retro England World Cup Italia 90 shirts, the originals were umbro but the replicas aren't and have single line diamondsI'm guessing that maybe due to trademark issues with the Umbro diamonds. More merchandise to empty my pockets though, so fair play to the marketing team.
Most of those are dodgy knock offs, show me an official site that sells them? I've only ever seen them on Ebay and Etsy, that's where I had to get mine from. There are retro England World Cup Italia 90 shirts, the originals were umbro but the replicas aren't and have single line diamonds
I have just emailed the company to say that there is a photo of the team wearing the 'Belgium' kit in Roy Calley's Blackpool the Complete Record. It's on p.20 of my edition. There is no badge and the colour bands are wider than those depicted on the replica.I would think so

Argentina 1978. Don’t think Scotland have ever lost to Saudi Arabia??Is that the shirt they wore for the Ally McClown Argentina world cup when they lost to Saudi Arabia?
Sorry, I meant drew with Iran, having been stuffed by Peru.Argentina 1978. Don’t think Scotland have ever lost to Saudi Arabia??
I bought an XXL after trying it on which is the same size I get for the Puma replica shirts. Retro shirts are a touch roomier but there's not much in it so I'd just go with whatever size you opted for with the Puma shirtsAnyone on here buy one today? Any idea if the sizing is the same as our current home kit - I’ve been getting one size up with Puma to what I usually get. Will be ordering online so appreciate any feedback on the fit
They look a mean bunchAs promised...the photo I have of the team wearing the 1914/15 'Belgium' kit.View attachment 15032

You mean the World Cup when England didn't even qualify and Scotland beat HollandSorry, I meant drew with Iran, having been stuffed by Peru.
Yep, England were crap in qualifying and McClown lead the triumphalist send off at Hampden. They won the dead rubber against the Dutch. You mean the World Cup when England didn't even qualify and Scotland beat Holland
I thought they went out on goal differenceYep, England were crap in qualifying and McClown lead the triumphalist send off at Hampden. They won the dead rubber against the Dutch.
If you were a year away from being sent to war you'd look mean too. They look a mean bunch
When Gemmill scored Scotland went 3-1 up. Were they to win by 3 clear goals they would have gone through. Alas, Holland pulled one back and at 3-2 it was lost.I thought they went out on goal difference
Correct so it wasn't a dead rubber thenWhen Gemmill scored Scotland went 3-1 up. Were they to win by 3 clear goals they would have gone through. Alas, Holland pulled one back and at 3-2 it was lost.
