Rhodes last game?

I assume any time between 1st and 31st January, subject to anything specific in the loan contract

I would have thought they will recall him as soon as they are able. Just to get their fans off their backs.

Can you imagine what our fans (including me) would be saying if we were struggling to score and one of our experienced players was scoring for fun in the league below?

Exactly Hampshire. And on that basis he will most likely be back at Udders as soon as the loan contract allows.

But you never know, Christmas miracles do happen..

Seeing a difference of opinion on Rhodes with their fans.

After the nobbers game, some were saying it's less the striking options and more the defense and midfield. Add in some saying Rhodes is scoring because L1 is his level now. I can see them looking to bring in players for this season, and potentially next season, rather than Rhodes who might help but can leave for free in a few months.

I've kind of accepted he's likely to go back. We just have enjoy having him with us for the next 6 games or so. As much as his goals, we'll miss his presence and impact he has on the squad. I don't think it's a surprise that Beesley has improved since playing/training alongside Jordan. The best Christmas present would be getting news he's staying for the season or that we've signed him permanently.

If they want him back then you expect they will have already made their decision and he will return on 1st Jan 😕

Here’s hoping they don’t want him back (which I would find doubtful).

Let’s hope Jordan has made it clear he wants to stay with us to make them think twice.

If Rhodes was a couple of years younger he'd just be recalled no question.
As it is it's a bit of a dilemma for Huddersfield....are they going to drag him back against his wishes when he is very obviously enjoying what could be a final flourish to his career.
He's at the stage now when he will be telling his agent what he wants to happen.
With absolutely no guarantee that his current rich vein of form would continue in the championship the logical thing would be for Huddersfield to get a fee for him.

If you read the Town fans page HERE
Jorden Rhodes doesn't really get any mention on their site...Cant see many wanting him back.
As SMB_BFC says, Town fans think JR is a good League 1 player but not what they need to survive in the Championship.
They also seem to think that Town are still paying some of JR's wage bill

If it were me, and knowing Blackpool want to keep JR, I would ask a cheeky £250k and then put that money towards someone like Billy Sharpe or a loan deal for a Prem player looking for a 4 -5 month loan spell....Fans aren't going to feel happy if it's JR to save them from relegation.

Speaking to a Hudds fan last night. He told me they play 3 centre halves and 2 actual full backs, not wing backs, with 3 holding midfielders and even Rhodes wouldn’t score in that team.

He also said they should have been 2 down against PNE before PNE even scored in the 3rd minute so that ultra defensive formation is clearly working well for them!!

"You always get a few days where if they are going to call him back, then that’s when they can do it. It’s normally in the middle or at the front of the month because you don’t want it to be on the last day and you’re left with nowhere to go.

If Rhodes makes it clear he won’t be sign a new contract I think Huddersfield will think twice about recalling him as that would mean letting him go for free in the summer and no guarantee he’d be able to help them escape relegation. I think (hope) they’d try to get something for him now. As others have said their defence needs shoring up more. Of course other clubs could come in for him too.

He also doesn't work as well with one up top as he hasn't the pace any more. He plays better with a strike partner.

Some Huddersfield fans on fb said mostly leave him where he is, click the comment symbol to see.

Yes, if he wanted to be awkward with them he's in a really strong position to force a move. I doubt he would though, he seems like a model pro.

Considering the amount of goals that he's scored for us this season, we won't be the only ones that are looking to sign him up permanently next month.

Something like this, maybe: "Unless you do as we request (i.e. return our player with immediate effect), we will be left with no choice other than to pay you a visit with a certain Gary Madine in tow, after which he will be taken off his lead, his muzzle removed, and then allowed to run free to do exactly as he sees fit ... You have been warned."

Playing golf with a Huddersfield fan yesterday and he said that after the embarrassment of last Tuesday, Rhodes is not the answer.
They are seriously lacking in midfield and their defence needs strengthening.

As it is, there would be no point bringing back a striker scoring goals for fun when they couldn't supply him any ammo!!

He, personally, wants Moore out.
Says he's a nice fella but absolutely clueless as a manager!!

Some similarities to us last season with people saying they had a better keeper on the bench.

Maxwell was awful and could have saved 1 or 2 of the goals.

Similar to us last season, you look at the goals and think surely many of them should be saved.

Goals change games.

Whatever happens let's wish Jordan a long and happy future. He comes over as a genuinely nice bloke who has worked his proverbial socks off for us and inspired all around him to up their game too. You'll never be forgotten Jordan!

They can't sell him, he's played for two clubs this year, FIFA regs don't allow him to play for a third.

I suspect that Huddersfield might be angling for us to pay a bigger share of his wages, which are likely substantial, whether they really want him back, I have my doubts.

They’ll take him back as goals win games and he’s a possible low cost solution to their problem. He’s also fit, confident and experienced. Other options are always slim pickings or overpriced in January. We’d have to put in an offer that’s says we think we can get promotion with him and that would heavily subsidize fees huddersfield would have to pay for who they really want. So the question is with him or without him do you see us getting promoted this season?

Was talking to some Huddersfield fans yesterday and they think he's found our level with us and weren't that bothered about him being recalled. Felt the Championship is now too much for him and he wouldn't get in their first team.

This is the best reason I've read for what I've hoped will happen, that they didn't really want him all along. But there's a chance to squeeze a few quid out of it, they're Yorkies after all!

Genuinely think it will be tomorrow and so let's hope he bags a hat-trick and gets the standing ovation he deserves before he goes back.

A few things

1. Jordan Rhodes is on £8K + a week (that bit i know) he’s miles over our normal player weekly budget and most teams in League 1’s budget - I have no idea what we are paying him £3/4K / week perhaps, I dunno, and no-one other than he and our Club Paymaster Gerneral knows

2. Given the state we’re in, it wouldn’t surprise me if he pleaded to go back to Huddersfield Town as at least they have something to play for

3. We won’t get a sniff at any forward half as good - why? Because we have nowt to play for and the recent dip in form wouldn’t inspire me to move to Blackpool FC - in the same way …,why would you aspire to move to Carlisle bottom of L1 - Plus why would we attract anyone Half good anyway ?

4. The transfer window could cause further damage to our position - seemingly 2 or more very experienced players leaving and reasoning behind it a mystery (could be several reasons) and no obvious rumours of anyone replacing them coming in

5. We have a big squad and with no prospect of gaining any more money through a promotion push etc it might make sense (given most of the squad was fit) to offload a few surplus players.

6. Of the youngsters; not sure how good any of them are yet - probably a season too early for them

Other than that - get behind the team v Lincoln please
