How does the Rhodes loan deal work and when potentially could Udders recall him?
Exactly Hampshire. And on that basis he will most likely be back at Udders as soon as the loan contract allows.I would have thought they will recall him as soon as they are able. Just to get their fans off their backs.
Can you imagine what our fans (including me) would be saying if we were struggling to score and one of our experienced players was scoring for fun in the league below?
We're already the only option no - he came off bench for them in League Cup?Best thing - other than him just signing on permanently - is for him to go back and play a game or 2 - then we'll be the only option anyway.
Didn't know that. I think he'll stay. It's just about getting the deal right for all parties. We're already the only option no - he came off bench for them in League Cup?
He also doesn't work as well with one up top as he hasn't the pace any more. He plays better with a strike partner. If you read the Town fans page HERE
Jorden Rhodes doesn't really get any mention on their site...Cant see many wanting him back.
As SMB_BFC says, Town fans think JR is a good League 1 player but not what they need to survive in the Championship.
They also seem to think that Town are still paying some of JR's wage bill
If it were me, and knowing Blackpool want to keep JR, I would ask a cheeky £250k and then put that money towards someone like Billy Sharpe or a loan deal for a Prem player looking for a 4 -5 month loan spell....Fans aren't going to feel happy if it's JR to save them from relegation.
Yes, if he wanted to be awkward with them he's in a really strong position to force a move. I doubt he would though, he seems like a model pro.If Rhodes makes it clear he won’t be sign a new contract I think Huddersfield will think twice about recalling him as that would mean letting him go for free in the summer and no guarantee he’d be able to help them escape relegation. I think (hope) they’d try to get something for him now. As others have said their defence needs shoring up more. Of course other clubs could come in for him too.
Something like this, maybe: "Unless you do as we request (i.e. return our player with immediate effect), we will be left with no choice other than to pay you a visit with a certain Gary Madine in tow, after which he will be taken off his lead, his muzzle removed, and then allowed to run free to do exactly as he sees fit ... You have been warned."I would have thought they will recall him as soon as they are able. Just to get their fans off their backs.

But he can't play for anyone else this season apart from Huddersfield. He either stays with us or goes back and plays for them. (sits on the bench)Considering the amount of goals that he's scored for us this season, we won't be the only ones that are looking to sign him up permanently next month.
Not if they sell him in January, he can play for his new club !But he can't play for anyone else this season apart from Huddersfield. He either stays with us or goes back and plays for them. (sits on the bench)
Playing golf with a Huddersfield fan yesterday and he said that after the embarrassment of last Tuesday, Rhodes is not the answer. He also doesn't work as well with one up top as he hasn't the pace any more. He plays better with a strike partner.
Some Huddersfield fans on fb said mostly leave him where he is, click the comment symbol to see.
Some similarities to us last season with people saying they had a better keeper on the bench.Playing golf with a Huddersfield fan yesterday and he said that after the embarrassment of last Tuesday, Rhodes is not the answer.
They are seriously lacking in midfield and their defence needs strengthening.
As it is, there would be no point bringing back a striker scoring goals for fun when they couldn't supply him any ammo!!
He, personally, wants Moore out.
Says he's a nice fella but absolutely clueless as a manager!!
Not sure about that one. He's been registered for two teams already and played. Not if they sell him in January, he can play for his new club !
He can't, see my earlier post linking to FIFA regs. Even the FA can't change that one and make it up as they go alongNot sure about that one. He's been registered for two teams already and played.
They can't sell him, he's played for two clubs this year, FIFA regs don't allow him to play for a third. If Rhodes makes it clear he won’t be sign a new contract I think Huddersfield will think twice about recalling him as that would mean letting him go for free in the summer and no guarantee he’d be able to help them escape relegation. This is the best reason I've read for what I've hoped will happen, that they didn't really want him all along. But there's a chance to squeeze a few quid out of it, they're Yorkies after all! They can't sell him, he's played for two clubs this year, FIFA regs don't allow him to play for a third.
I suspect that Huddersfield might be angling for us to pay a bigger share of his wages, which are likely substantial, whether they really want him back, I have my doubts.
We could loan him to Huddersfield after we swap leaguesWhat if we signed him and got promoted and then he wasn’t good enough ??
We could loan him to Huddersfield after we swap leagues
If they recall him, surely it would be on 01/01.Genuinely think it will be tomorrow and so let's hope he bags a hat-trick and gets the standing ovation he deserves before he goes back.
What if we signed him and he carried on scoring goals?.....that'll do.What if we signed him and got promoted and then he wasn’t good enough ??
We’ll never get to find out how good any of the youngsters are here Cambers, Blackpool is a graveyard for young talent under this guy.A few things
1. Jordan Rhodes is on £8K + a week (that bit i know) he’s miles over our normal player weekly budget and most teams in League 1’s budget - I have no idea what we are paying him £3/4K / week perhaps, I dunno, and no-one other than he and our Club Paymaster Gerneral knows
2. Given the state we’re in, it wouldn’t surprise me if he pleaded to go back to Huddersfield Town as at least they have something to play for
3. We won’t get a sniff at any forward half as good - why? Because we have nowt to play for and the recent dip in form wouldn’t inspire me to move to Blackpool FC - in the same way …,why would you aspire to move to Carlisle bottom of L1 - Plus why would we attract anyone Half good anyway ?
4. The transfer window could cause further damage to our position - seemingly 2 or more very experienced players leaving and reasoning behind it a mystery (could be several reasons) and no obvious rumours of anyone replacing them coming in
5. We have a big squad and with no prospect of gaining any more money through a promotion push etc it might make sense (given most of the squad was fit) to offload a few surplus players.
6. Of the youngsters; not sure how good any of them are yet - probably a season too early for them
Other than that - get behind the team v Lincoln please
Think there is a window within January they can recall him but don’t think it can be on the 1st.If they recall him, surely it would be on 01/01.
