Rhodes

I think he played in a League Cup game for them this season, does anyone know if that activates the "Bowler rule"?

I.E, they can recall him, but can they loan him out to anyone else?

He needs to stop scoring unnecessary hat tricks or he ll be too dear.

Calm down Jordan thanks .
Do u remember when KO said something similar about DJ? Didn’t want to sign him on loan in case he scores too many goals. Genius
Think it was the final straw for Ollie

Fifa regulation 5.4, regulation 1.3 makes this binding on the FA/EFL:

Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs.

It's not clear to me why this doesn't apply to the National League, but my reading of this is that, since he played in the EFL cup for them, the Udders could recall him, but only if they wanted to play him themselves.

No. Season loans can't be recalled

When I looked at Rhodes stats for season so far before this game, his individual XG was twice what Lavery's is, twice what Jerry's was and suggested he's on course for 40 odd goals...

I thought 'well, that will come down over time' but after today, I'm not sure!

He's double or triple the player I thought he'd be. He doesn't even appear to be playing out of his skin particularly, he just looks proper class.

Possibly one of the most natural finishers I've seen in a BFC shirt. In the Kevin Phillips worlds. Quality.

I was saying to the fella next to me - it's kind of like when we signed Ellis - I knew Ellis scored goals, but I'd not noticed how actually good at football he was before we signed him.

It's that I didn't expect. I kind of assumed he'd put it away if given a chance, but not how well he links up with others and how good his all round game is.

Just watched his interview. He's the most calm, measured man ever. 'Yes, I scored some goals which was nice, but there's another game next week'

Liked how he praised CJ as well and the defenders.

He's got that clinical efficiency even to the way he approaches a post match.

Those of us who were saying "give the lad a chance to show us what he can do" should be feeling pretty smug right now but, if the others are all like me, they'll be too excited by how ** good he actually is, to be smug, right now! 😂

Too early to say, really, and Yates had so much more to his game than just being a good striker, but early signs from Rhodes suggest he's going to achieve Andy Morrell level status and, for me, that's currently the highest possible status in Tangerine rankings!
He’s more clinical than Jerry.

At the end of the day he’s a well known striker cos he’s bloody good.

Excellent recruitment BFC. David Downes take a bow.

I honestly didn’t think we would be able to replace Jerry this season but with this dude banging in hat tricks I’m not so sure now .

To the tune of On The Road Again by Willie Nelson

Goal by Rhodes again
Just can't wait to see Rhodes score again
The life I love is watching Blackpool win again
And I can't wait to see Rhodes score again
Goal by Rhodes again
Seeing goals like I've never seen
Seein' goals that I may never see again
And I can't wait to see Rhodes score again

Yep we've got to give the club credit where credit's due.
Kouassi as well. I mean, whoever made that a thing is feeling pretty chuffed at how it's turned out.

He could do nowt else now and he's already out performed Callum Wright and Tommy Trybull for probably a million and some quid less all in.

Exactly he scored his pen that would have been enough .

No. He had to go crazy didnt he and keep bagging.

Good shout out for Kouassi.
2 in 2 and took his goal really well yesterday.
Feel a bit sorry for Lavs tbh, with Gaz goals and Jerry out the picture it would have looked that he'd be a regular this season. Unfortunately the injury, coupled with Rhodes and Kouassi doing the business, it may take a while before he's back in the starting 11

Did Rhodes not play for Darren Moore at Wednesday? The new Huddersfield manager
No, I don't think so. Moore was, I think at Donny when Rhodes was at Wednesday. Or for most of the time anyway. If they did overlap it would mean Rhodes was let go by Moore.

I think we all know my new role in life is shout outs for Kuoassi. 🤣

Agree on Lavs, but what a great player to bring on against tired legs.
