I’ve just watched the club video for Training Day 2 and it was good to see Keogh (I can’t believe I’m saying that - I gave him pelters at the start of last season). I thought he was only on a one year contract, has he signed a new one?

Edited, thanks finest

He looked proper knackered after the running…not sure anyone of his age would have enjoyed running into these temperatures as a preseason work out. Madine looks ripped!

I think everyone gave him pelters at the start of last season and we’ve all had to eat Humble Pie (great band in their day with Stevie Marriott).

Keogh is a great leader and role model for our young squad.

I know that he's been working a lot with our young defenders as well, especially Oliver Casey.

I wouldn't have been disappointed if we'd taken a punt on RK for the top job.

Has the respect of the squad, great on field organiser. He has great experience, and yes I'd imagine his involvement will reduce over the course of the season, but maybe some kind of development role beyond?

Defensive coach?

Immense for us last year, but for me the pre-season videos have been a revelation. He is such a great character and exactly the type of person you want running the back line and pushing people on
