Right back problem

It seems obvious to me, that we weaken our midfield by playing Connolly at right back
The right back position is weaker by not having a specialist there, as good as Connolly is
To compound that Connolly is missed in midfield especially with the other midfielders, with the exception of Dougal not being aggressive enough
So not having a right back weakens the midfield as well
Patino coming on in a physical game showed age and size can be overcome by attitude and belief in your ability.
Jack Moore has age and size against him, but does he have the attitude and belief to overcome this
Lets find out Tuesday

To go into another Championship seasons without a RB is bonkers and bad planning.
I like Connolly but let's face it when we brought in Gabriel & Sterling at the end of August he was third choice for that position tells it's own story.

Yet we've just signed a LB, have two on the treatment table, let one out on loan and played
Thornley against Reading there.🤷

As it stands with the fit players we have I'd rather have Connolly at right back and Dougall as a holding midfielder than sticking Connolly in midfield, Dougall on the bench and is there anyone else bt Moore at right back..

Against Barrow give Moore a go along with Apter, need to see where he is up to in his development, maybe both can be loaned to L2 if they are not being kept around the squad

yep, no problem with that. In fact it's probably a must as we can't afford for Connolly to get injured, and he's had a couple of knocks in both games so far, until at least Gabriel is back available again.
