RIP Christine Mcvie

Ah Jeez. These RIP posts are beginning to come up to my time. Beautiful voice, what a band. There were a lot of inter band rivalries (polite way of putting it out there) but she was a major part of an amazing band.
RIP
Probably the most beautiful , loyal person in that band.
❤️❤️

A crazy Band of crazy characters. Didn’t know she had developed agoraphobia later in life having moved to Kent from California. RIP

Shame but she was 79 & had led a rather colourful life when younger. Wrote & sang some wonderful songs, it really doesn't seem that long ago when Rumours came out, but it was 45 years ago. RIP

I’m often saddened when someone who influenced my lifestyle passes away but Christine & the rest of FM (of her time) are one of the few groups that I can say: “I’ve got all of their stuff.”
I’ll probably put their Boston, USA concert on soon. (1980?)

While she grew up in Birmingham after her family moved there, she was actually born in a small village near Ulverston - so a North West girl at heart ❤️

Their 1997 reunion concert, with all the hits, is on iPlayer for another two months.

And there's a documentary of the band coming up on BBC4 on 16th December (I suspect this might actually date from 2009).

Thanks, I’ll watch those. I’ve seen the docu before 👍
