Ex Pool player has died aged just 66.
Played 99 times scoring 6 in the late 70's for us.
A big no nonsense centre half, I remember he got done for screwing his gas meter.

RIP Max - played centre-forward one game when we were short of strikers and scored two goals.

Went on to play for Swansea in old First Division and think he scored a goal of the month winner for them.

Sad to hear Max has passed, had he been ill?

Not that I was aware. He lived across the road from me before I moved house. Nice fella who liked a drink and was often worse for wear but always pleasant, never argumentative. He never really talked about his footballing days.
I found out about his passing on Saturday. He lived on his own after his wife passed away about 12 months ago.
