Robson could be on his way out

That’s a weird one. Seems legit if O’Rourke is saying it.

Decent player but surely not Rangers quality?

I would have thought there's only room for Williams or Robson, not both, with the arrival of Stewart.

In terms of Re sale potential the fact that Motherwell and Rangers are in for Robson and Bolton are in for MJ Williams tells you everything.

I think Robson has a few glaring holes in his game, great potential but not ready yet to be a regular. If we can get a few quid in and strengthen elsewhere then great business.

Note the way that the Gazette headlines with..."Blackpool boss addresses MJ Williams and Ethan Robson speculation amid rumoured Bolton, Motherwell and Rangers interest" before stating that...."Neil Critchley has remained tight-lipped on speculation linking Blackpool midfielders MJ Williams and Ethan Robson with moves away on transfer deadline day."

Poor journalism.

Always concerning when a player is linked and then doesn't get the move - always worry that there is some unrest there. I suppose he now has the chance to prove otherwise.

Having a Mackem mate arrive may well help him kick on and thrive. It cannot be easy for a young lad moving to a new part of the country in these difficult times.

No. Great potential. Develop it. Get him back to where he was early in the season for starters.

Yes really but he’s gone now. He’s never let us down when he’s played and as I’ve said on other threads he does the dirty midfield job well.
Robson clearly better, for me. Lost his way after a great start but he'll recover. Opinions.

In a way I’m glad Robson stayed as I think he’s a talented lad. There’s definitely something to him.

I just don’t see where he’s getting the game time outside of 2 l of the 4 other central midfielders getting a season ending injury.

I suppose we’re going to have 2 games a week for the rest of the season but it currently looks like he’ll be behind Dougall, Virtue, Ward and Stewart.

The only similarities between Williams & Robson are that they both play in the middle of the park. That is where the comparisons should end.
Williams was by far the better player at sitting in front of the back four and shielding the defence, but was extremely limited going forward.
Robson seemed to have been signed to do that job and be able to play the ball too, which he struggled with.
We shouldn't forget that he was tasked with that role during the period where no one was playing particularly well; coming back in to a settled side at some point should benefit him massively. There is ability there, hopefully he'll be able to show it sooner or later.
