Agree 100%So the theory is he would have rather taken over an interim job in League One in a very precarious situation open to the whims of any new owner/administrators than a Championship club with stable supportive owners and huge plans afoot?
Aye, ok.
I don't think he was ever offered the job here, clueless shills like Nixon went full steam and then backtracked with rumours to cover their own faulty crystal ball bollocks, got to keep those Patreon subscribers coming in.
The sad thing is people seem to have lost all of their logical thought processes since Twitter was invented, silly rumours become 'fact' overnight.Agree 100%
Rooney said ‘this club needs a manager to take it forward that hasn’t been affected by the last 12/18 months’ wouldn’t appear to be thinking Rosenior
An owner of any club is never going to admit offering the job to someone else if it's turned down so you will never know. It's the way it works.Appleton was first choice.
Rosenior not offered .
That’s the official line and no reason to doubt it.
I believe SS far more than Fleet Street

Excellent use of a rarely seen wordclueless shills l
This is a pretty good line to follow. Important for all Blackpool fans.Well I was certainly convinced by the various ITK tweeters that he was on his way to Blackpool. Maybe a bit of wishful thinking was involved on my part, but in truth I should have known the moment that BISONS confirmed he was coming that it was a 100% cert not to happen.
Unlike others I can definitely see the attraction of the Derby job when compared with Blackpool for him.
All I know is that the Friday afternoon before, Liam Rosenoirs appointment seemed imminent , there was a lull over the weekend before an expected announcement on Monday. The start of that week was when things changed, hence a third interview for Appleton. Whatever the timeframe, I can't believe that they would choose Appleton over Rosenoir even before you factor in the swell of fans opinion. It just doesn't wash with me. I also agree with BFCx3 that the attraction of the Derby job is real and understandable. We know that the claims that LR was offered the job were ridiculously premature, we know that MA had a third interview on Wednesday before the appointment, as far as we know he was the only one who made it to that stage, if LR was offered the job he would've had to turn it down on the day of the second interview, which seems implausible, the timeline of known facts strongly suggests that MA was first choice and LR was never offerd the job.
Everything else is fake ITKers trying to convince you they're not really making it up.

in saying all that Michael Appleton might well turn out to be the better choice and better value . Sometimes things work out that way. Liam Rosenoir is no dud though and I'm not going to change my opinion on him just because he's not here like some have. Same with Critchley.
I’ve obviously been pretty critical of Appledog, but I agree with this.Unless you were in the interviews we will never know .
I on the other hand can see why they would choose Appleton over Rosenior
1. Experience
2. Premier league contacts for decent loans
What are you basing your opinion of Rosenior on ?
Like most including myself you tube clips of commentary and press reports . I was excited at the prospect of Rosenior but I was basing it on how well he spoke on you tube videos .
He’s got no track record as a manager .
If I owned the club I wouldn’t have risked it either if Appleton interviewed well especially in light of the other significant investment to be made in the next two years

I've known about Rosenoir for a long while because I have a little secondary interest in Brighton and I watched him countless times on sky when he was a pundit for a year. I know that's not the same as a solid management record but he's just got that feel about him of quality and integrity and you won't find anyone anywhere saying anything bad about him. Who knows , he might not match the promise of all that and time will tell. To me Appleton was a pretty poor appointment and I wasn't on my own in thinking that on here and about Rosenoir. It's just that most have shifted the other way now it's actually happened. I did listen to Appleton when he came and he wasUnless you were in the interviews we will never know .

This entirely explains the whole thing for me and fits the narrative. Rosenior was probably top candidate after the first round of interviews but before the second round found out about Rooney’s intentions
Either before his second interview or just after it he advised us that he no longer wished to be considered for the role. Hence we had the club stating that Appleton was first choice (which may have been true) and Rosenior was never offered the job.
We will never know. I have just done enough recruitment in my time to know that you have a shortlist after first interview and a preference. Often it does have to change due to circumstances. There's no such thing as a top candidate after the first round, and if there was only one or two people within BFC would know and they weren't talking.
If he didn't want the job, why go to the second interview.
The simplest answer is he was never offered the job, and everything else is fake ITKers trying to make a name for themselves.
If that were correct there would have been no need to give Appleton a 3rd interviewThis entirely explains the whole thing for me and fits the narrative. Rosenior was probably top candidate after the first round of interviews but before the second round found out about Rooney’s intentions

There would if you had two competing candidates and each offered different merits then one pulled out. You may need to convince yourself that the positives which the other had were not a problem in appointing him.If that were correct there would have been no need to give Appleton a 3rd interview

Yes… read it at the time and it registered as I thought exactly the same thing.
I was never taken in by the Rosenior YouTube videos mind, in fact I didn't bother to watch them tbh.Yes… read it at the time and it registered as I thought exactly the same thing.
I hope he's a better football manager than Rapper/Singer if they appoint himHardly surprising considering current shenanigans at the Derby, i don't suppose Derby have the option of Plan B until the ownership saga is resolved
He’s a decent bloke to be fair… Clearly very principled too… His open letter to Donald Trump was fantasticI was never taken in by the Rosenior YouTube videos mind, in fact I didn't bother to watch them tbh.
HystericalI hope he's a better football manager than Rapper/Singer if they appoint him
It sounds like the job is his to lose to be fair.Doesn’t sound like he’s got the job or not got the job!!
Club Update - 14th July 2022: Managerial Situation
When Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd completed the purchase of the football club, the first priority was to strengthen and build a squad ready to compete from July 30.www.dcfc.co.uk
He strikes me as the type of individual who will be successful at anything he puts his mind to tbh.Well after everyone fawning over him when they thought he was coming here it will be interesting to see how he fairs.
