Play crap, bench or worse.

5-2-3 suits us. It seems to make sense.

He might revert to 4-3-3 when players are fit or at home but with our wing backs it looks balanced

I presume this is because he hasn’t quite got the midfielders available to start yet for his preferred formation.
Quite like 5-3-2 myself.
It seems to me with 4-3-3 it is more likely you will get a duff performance. Not enough quality, or variety in the midfield 3, or a slight mistake in the set up and you can get a bit of a fiasco. 5-3-2 seems more stable, but I suppose the problem with it is having the right players to play wing back?
